This place is not only a wonderful holiday home but also a museum of prestigous antiques. If you are looking for an absolute tranquil place, this house will be perfect for you. Extremely friendly and helpful owners, you can tell that Maria and Yannis put a lot of love in this place. 5 minutes drive to small supermarktes, gas station and taverns, 30 minutes to wonderful beaches, hiking trails nearby.

Amazing villa in the hills near Askifou, ideally placed to get to the beaches on the South Coast of the Island and also near to European hiking trails in the mountains. Village of Askifou had lots of really nice restaurants - the taxi driver from Chania airport mentioned this as we arrived and he was right. Great views from the villa of the valley and not a lot of other tourists about in this area so felt like a more authentic experience. Despina the host was very quick to respond to any issues and helpful with suggestions on what areas/beaches to visit.

The house was equipped with everything you might think of and more, from all necessary kitchen appliances to mosquito repellant. The host left for us snacks, fruits, coffee and beverages. Very clean, extremely comfortable bed, we slept amazing. The yard is clean, well kept, with lots of places to sit outside. Very nice pool, clean, with an incredible view of the mountains. The village is quiet and peaceful and you have in the area small shops, tavernas and gas stations.

Family of 5, kids 10, 13 and 16. We all really enjoyed out stay at this beautifully restored villa. The villa is secluded with a lovely pool with gorgeous mountain views. It was very clean and had all that was needed. A real oasis of tranquillity to disconnect and recharge. Villa was cleaned half way through the week. Excellent host, super helpful. The host very kindly left us some food, as our flight was very late at night and also dropped a few things mid week when the cleaner came.
