This property was a perfect holiday home for our family and our dogs. The quiet environment is what we wanted after such a busy year. The village of Giarratana is so cute and friendly people. Easy to travel around - Less than One hour away from Noto, Modica, Ragusa, Donnafugata, Pozzallo.

We loved it and would definitely return/recommend to friends. Beautiful serene location, clean and comfortable. Kitchen has all the basic necessities. Even though our stay was in November the owner agreed to have the pool ready for us. We were also given the option of earlier check-in against a small fee.

Locanda is a special place to get away from everything. Our apartment was spacious,very clean and a well equipped kitchen which we used the nights the restaurant was not open. Nice comfortable bed and large beautiful stone shower. Large swimming pool,lovely green garden to relax in. Country walks to the local forest nearby. Good parking. The restaurant was the highlight of our stay. A family buisness and beautiful staff and home cooking. Would highly recommend. this place to stay.

Beautiful villa, in well looked after grounds. We loved the pool with the diving board. Lots of butterflies and lizards to keep you amused. We also enjoyed watching the swifts and the swallows diving for insects over the pool. Near the town, where you can find a small supermarket. There were restaurants, but we didn't get to try these. We loved Le Petit Cafe though, with its amazing pastries and gelato. We visited Noto which was very pretty and also went to the Valley of the Temples - this was a long drive, but worth every twist and turn (of which there were many).

Everything. Staff & owner great. WiFi connection lost and the owner attended to it immediately. Lovely peaceful location. No mobile signal, but that’s fine as WhatsApp with Wi-Fi. Giarratana a five minute drive away over a hill for groceries & a bar etc. Not really walkable for most people.
