The B&B is situated 11 kms outside of the city of Groningen, which translates to a mere 30 minutes by bus or 40 by bike. Perfect location if you want some peace & quiet, want to explore the countryside or do some walking. Onder Dak could also serve as an excellent basecamp if you (as I did) need to spend several days in the city to work at ESNS. The village of Scharmer / Harkstede is really quiet, but there is a bus every 30 minutes. Breakfast was really good, there is an abundance of everything you could ask for. The owners are very friendly and helped me, for instance when my work required me to change my early check-in to a midnight one. Room was great, equipped with a sink, has lots of windows and the bed was perfect: solid stuff, slept like a rose, 4 nights in a row. Recommended!

Very nice holiday, had a great time and were very relaxed. It was unforgettable. 🥳🥳🥳🍷🍇🍽️ Warm welcome, wonderful and cozy wellness complex. The owners greeted us very warmly. 🫂🫂🫂 Wonderful sauna, hammam, jacuzzi - everything is very high quality and beautiful.🧖🧖‍♀️🛁🛁🛁 Delicious treats in the evening, and wonderful Breakfast.😋😋😋 I would call this trip the best of my life. 💓 Thank you very much for what you do, we will definitely visit you again!!))🙏🙏 Our rating is 10 out of 5!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We liked everything, Camping was clean and pretty. I have dust allergy and have somethimes Problems in Chalets, Here i did Not experience any Symptoms! we even swam in the Lake .Of course If it rained maybe i would Not Like our stay that much 😊

We stayed at the accommodation in Thesinge as a family of four over the Whitsun weekend and really enjoyed it. The place is so beautiful that at times you wonder whether it's all a painting or reality. The house and the rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated. It is very quiet and you can really relax. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. The vegetarian breakfast was extremely tasty with fresh fruit, homemade bread, boiled and/or fried eggs, yogurt, muesli, jam, fresh orange juice, cappuccino, tea and pancakes. We used the time to visit the lively student city of Groningen. We also went on a day trip to the island of Ameland. The ferry port is about an hour's drive away and the ferry crossing takes another 50 minutes. The island is beautiful and is perfect for cycling and walking on the beach and in the dunes. Of course, the excellent weather also contributed to the fact that we felt completely at ease, but all in all, the accommodation and the surrounding area are highly recommended. A very nice host. The room was very nice. In addition, you could use a living room including a small kitchen. Tea and coffee were always available.
