We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted warmly by Joaninha's father to get keys. He showed us around, and gave us necessary information about the house. The house is cozy. Perfect for 2 people. The bed is comfortable,the kitchen is well stocked for self-catering, the internet is fast and reliable. There is a washing machine made available to you. It is in a small storage room outside of the house,so you do not hear the noise. The location of the house is great. It is near the beach, and within 10-15 minutes walking distance to a supermarket. There is a fabulous restaurant that is within a 5 minute walk, and another group of restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk. There is a great park with a basketball court, playground equipment, and places to sit, too. I would stay again without hesitation. Excellent value!

Location. Location. Location. And the facilities, amenities and service. First the location: You can't beat it. We were 10 minutes from the center of Ponta Delgada - an easy car ride. The house is located on a cliff overlooking a beautiful beach where there is a lovely restaurant. We fell asleep each night to the rhythm of the ocean waves. We took great walks along the "praia" (beach), and spent hours sitting in the little deck overlooking the ocean. We even jumped into the waves one day (the water is relatively warm and we saw so many people riding the waves. We just had to jump in!). There is an excellent supermarket 5 minutes away for provisioning. There is a large parking lot right behind the house (for the beach) that was perfect for our little car. There's even a gate that leads right out to the parking lot for the property. The amenities met our expectations and exceeded in some spots. The beds - including the 2 sofa beds - were very comfortable. The linens were clean and soft. We had extra blankets since the nights can get chilly this time of year. The kitchen included everything we needed: oven, 2-burner stove, electric kettle, coffee machine (Nespresso), fridge and microwave. There is a dishwasher (it's a bit awkward since it is above the washing machine), but we didn't need it. The washing machine served us well and there is plenty of room to hang clothes outside. The service was beyond reproach. Andre was attentive and responsive. He responded quickly to every question and gave us great advice regarding the island -- what to see, where to eat, etc. We were very sad to leave our lovely little home on Sao Miguel.
