What a discovery!!! And that's coming from a really picky traveler. We were looking for a night over place on our way north but when we arrived at Rooilande farm we decided immediately to stay an extra night. The area is huuuge, you're driving good 20 min from the main road. Bungalows look brand new, super well designed. Rooms are more than spacious, you get storage area, well equipped kitchen, bathroom with beautiful bathtub with window next to it. The highlight however is a terrace facing the valley. You see nothing else but sky and hills. A zebra occasionally walks in the distance to a water tank. Absolute peace and quiet. There are several animals on the farm almost all of them rescues bunch of horses, ostrich a dog, a cat, few Alpacas. All of it plus exceptional hosts made our stay a divine experience. We wish we could stay there longer.

This stay is an absolute gem. Nothing prepares you gor the absolute jaw dropping beauty of the views from the guest house on the property. Leon an Louise are the mist warm and gracious hosts. Cannot wait to visit again: but next time we will be going to stay longer, just to soak up the tranquility and beauty of the property.

The place is clean and has a beautiful garden. Relaxing at the pool with the birds was good after a 10-hour drive from Gauteng.

On a long road trip to Cape Town we looked for somewhere to spend the night near Laingsburg. We wanted somewhere in the middle of nowhere with peace, quiet and views, but not too far from the main road. This cottage was brilliant and exceeded all our expectations. Ellen is a brilliant host, met us at the gate, and explained everything about the cottage. The cottage had two bedrooms, bathroom, living area, and braai room. Everything we needed was there, and the host has provided plenty of little things we didn't expect, which made our stay even more comfortable. We enjoyed walking out through the veld enjoying the barren and beautiful Karoo. I will definitely stay here again it was so enjoyable!
