Café&GuestHouse kaziya, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is set in Ichinoseki, 18 km from Chuson-ji Temple, 15 km from Ichinoseki Station, as well as 22 km from Takkoku Seikou-ji Temple. 1. Breakfast is amazing. What looks like a simple toast, bursts into a flavourful of happiness the moment you take the first bite. You also get freshly brewed coffee and juices for breakfast. 2. Great location. It's walking distance from the train station and also the boat ride for the gorge. It's also the last house on the street so it's very quiet at night. 3. Very reasonably priced for a private room. A really comfortable bed and the comforter is perfect for the cold weather as well. The room comes with an aircond/heater and also a humidifier. Towels are provided as well. 4. Showers are shared but it's no problem at all as it's kept very clean and during my stay I did not have to wait to use it. The shower gel and shampoo smells awesome. There's also a bath on the first floor that you can use by placing the magnet with your room number next to an available time slot on the board. 5. Staff were really nice and polite. I was able to store my backpack after checking out. 6. Aesthetically pleasing place as well, especially the dining area overlooking the field.

Guest House Chara ligger i Hirosaki, 3,4 km fra Hirosaki slott, og har en hage og avgiftsfri, privat parkering. Gratis WiFi er tilgjengelig overalt på overnattingsstedet. Warm and sweet hosts, we felt so welcomed and enjoyed chatting with them. The first floor tatami room was very comfy and cozy. We enjoyed the happy hour as well, and the delicious breakfast was thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommend staying here!

Set in Zao Onsen and only 200 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Takasagoya Ryokan offers accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. A public bath is available for guests. The room size, staff service and food was spectacular. It was as competitive as the service I experienced in Kamikochi.

Uchi is situated in Matsushima, 200 metres from Zuigan-ji Temple. Guests can enjoy listening to music or watching TV in the common area. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The host speaks good English and is very nice and helpful and open to just chatting. The location was great with easy access by foot to two train stations and just a minute up from the main street and the shoreline and just a few minutes walk from the plenty of things worth exploring.

Situated in Hiraizumi, less than 1 km from Motsuji Temple and 2.3 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Minpaku Hiraizumi offers a garden and air conditioning. Everything. The friendly and helpful host. I even feel bad that they are so nice to me. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant location, near to one of the main sight in town. comfortable and impeccably clean room.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Very beautiful hotel. Great onsen.

Featuring free property-wide WiFi, a spa centre and a seasonal outdoor pool, Matsushima Ichinobo offers accommodation in Matsushima. The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.
