The contact with Isabelle was very professional from the reservation time . When I arrived at Chateau de la Villeneuve Isabelle welcomed me personally and introduced me to the property and to my room. I appreciated her kindness and her wish for me to feel "at home". The room was spacious and at a very comfortable temperature considering it was one of the hottest day at 35 degrees. A few days before I arrived I contacted Isabelle to check if they served diner.She sent me immediately the menu she proposed for diner with local products. The table was set for me on the terrace facing the garden and I had an excellent diner with fresh products and local specialties. It was a delicious 4 course meal (including cheese) and good value for money at 25 euros. I felt like staying at friends house in a splendid well maintained and with all comfort large 18th century house. I recommend to anyone looking for a true French experience.

Exceptional accommodation in a quiet, but convenient location. The gite had everything we needed and almost everything we wanted (it didn’t have a cheese grater). It was comfortable, had plenty of sockets for equipment, had good lighting, was warm, and it was very easy to clean. On-site parking was good, as was the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, and next year we shall return for a longer stay - there’s so much to see and do in the area. The village has a bakery, corner shop (a mini supermarket), newsagent/tobacconist, and a friendly kebab eatery - all within easy, level walking distance. Saint Marcel, the next village, has many more shops. We enjoyed Chalon (just minutes away) more than Beaune - it was less crowded and more ‘real.’ Plenty of museums, historic sites, walks, vineyards etc within a 25-mile radius.
