Charming house in a rural location that provides easy access to all of the Normandy beaches. The patio, with just an empty field behind it (no neighbors looking on) was a great place to relax. Each bedroom has its own sink (in addition to the bathroom sink), which is convenient. The host is wonderful; we really enjoyed talking with him.

Everything! Our hosts were incredible, the house is amazing and the location is perfect for exploring this area. We were on a 5 week tour of the UK and Europe and this was our last stop and easily the best place we stayed in. The village of Cruelly is beautiful with lots of history. A grocery store is 2 min drive and you are close to all the major D-day sites. The house is very big and has a great kitchen, laundry (a must!), Big bedrooms and a very nice back garden. Our hosts responded to all our questions very quickly and it's clear they care a lot about their property and their guests. I would stay here again in a second if we happened to be visiting this area again.

Perfect little stopover in a cute place. Remote but didn’t matter, as only 10 min drive to seafront for dinner. Great help from the owner too with a couple of messages around nearest ATM and groceries.

We stayed at Les Buissonnets during early springtime and found it to be warm, comfortable and welcoming; indeed, it is one of those rare places in which one feels immediately at home. It is comprehensively equipped in all areas; the kitchen is spacious enabling the easy preparation of delicious meals, and the bathrooms are modern, providing copious hot showers after a long day's sightseeing. The bedrooms are of generous proportions, furnished with super-comfy beds, quiet and guaranteeing a good night's sleep. We spent several lovely evenings seated before a cheery log fire, and it was genuinely a wrench when we had to set the SatNav for Blighty. The surrounding area offers much to do; as well as the obvious military historical locations, Bayeux is close by, and a trip along the Normandy coast taking in Honfleur, Trouville and Deauville is not to be missed. There are two fine boulangeries in Cruelly as well as an admirable restaurant at the Hotel St Martin.
