The place is incredible, with huge rooms, very clean and well decorated. The mattresses are very comfortable and the bathrooms are huge and quite new. The kitchen has all you need to cook for more them 8 people; 2 fridges, 2 microwaves and pans and pots, but no oven. Washing and drying machines, 3 toilets and two bathrooms.

The house is in calm area in the midle of vineyards, 400 m from Chateau de la Grave, where the reception and tasting room is located. Owners are friendly and helpful. House is spacious, very well equipped, with lovely terrace and living room area. Landscape is charming. Wines, which are produced in Chateau (Cotes de Bourg AOC) are very good, especially Nectar. The grocery store and restaurants are reachable in 5 min by car. You can visit plenty of wineries in the area of Bourg, Blaye, or, travel by ferry from Blaye to Lamarquie and visit Grand Cru area (Margaux, St. Julien etc) Bordeaux is 30 min by car, the ocean 40 mins. I would like to come back here !

Our stay was perfect. The little castle is picturesque, and the host family is incredibly warm. You can feel the love that's been poured into this place, and breakfast is delightful!

The breakfast was amazing, the beds were comfy, and the location was beautiful! Initially we were just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep but we fell in love with the place and didn’t want to leave! The cow and horse were so cute and the owners were so so kind! The whole place felt so cozy and whimsical!

The property has a beautiful outlook over the vineyard with numerous farm animals and a magnificent ancient magnolia tree. Our room was very stylish yet relaxed and comfortable. Hosts Claude and Sacha are friendly and generous, we felt very much at home.

Great way to take the time off from a busy city life and connect with nature! Wonderful hosts, great place for the vineyard experience, beautiful property. Even my puppy felt at home! To start with, I was given boots to walk around in the field so my shoes wouldn’t get dirty, parking was perfect, access was super easy and check in couldn’t be smoother. Claude even called some restaurants to find me a reservation when I tried to have dinner after my weird work hours when almost everything was closed as it was winter. I was asked everyday what I want for breakfast the next day and at what time, and my late breakfast requests were adhered and they made me what I wanted. When they had to leave for a work trip, they left me a perfect breakfast basket with everything that I wanted. Also, got a chance to do wine tasting and had a crash course on how to make wine. And their wine is natural and exceptionally delicious. Highly recommend.

We were so lucky that you guys had only one room available and what an amazing decision it was to book with you two!! We basically booked an hour or so in advance but if you plan your stays ahead of time(48h) then Guillaume will have time to prepare a outstanding meal with al kinds of locally grown fresh vegetables and herbs!! The family has two or more vineyards and they have lovely white wine and also red wines so! Please note: All movements are closely monitored by the groundkeepster Chantal🐈 You guys have such a great taste in design between old and new pieces, the greatest most beautiful artifacs from China and your great eye for rummaging through the Sunday brocantes and swapmeets which resulted in a very stylish and tastefull design!! Rooms were very large and luxurious, each with an lovely fireplace, separate toilet, bathroom with walk in shower.TIP: If you're an early bird please open the window during your shower and watch the sunrise!! Breakfast in a small buffet with local products and a a la carte egg option. We had a more than lovely time with you guys and will return for sure! It is worth a detour people!! What a lovely chambre d'hote it is!!

The host were incredible, gave us a full tour of the property and vineyard followed by a visit of the cave and wine testing. Took a lot of time to make us feel at home and answered all our questions. The bed was super comfy, new bathroom and aircon. We loved the expresso machine in our room and all others attentions. We decided to get breakfast too and did not regret our decision. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Hosts made sure everything was fine and made us coffees. Chateau monichot is a work in progress and not everything is perfect yet. The host are however putting a tremendous amount of work and care towards the place and looking after guests while having to manage the vineyard and vine making.
