Gorgeous location and views, great proximity to many historic sites. Our hosts were wonderful: attentive, thoughtful, generous, helpful. They really went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. The cottage is lovely, perfect for families or couples. All the amenities and great layout. We highly recommend!

Maureen and Colin are so very sweet and welcoming. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with them and the suite behind their house is absolutely wonderful. Felt so private with a nice view of fields beyond the back of the property. The bread they provided was delicious and fresh and Maureen's homemade jams were so good!! Lovely to have some toast and jam outside in the morning. Bed was comfy and while the place may be a wee small its laid out well with everything we needed. Only wish we had more time here. Hopefully we can come back some day!

Great central location, easy to access all roads to see all the attractions & just up road from Kirkwall for groceries. Fantastic self catering apartment for 2 people with everything you needed. Seperate bedroom gave additional quiet space. The kitchenette had everything you needed, dining table/chairs & comfortable lounge chairs. Heating was fantastic when needed. Glass doors gave access to nice view across water all from the cozy comfort of the apartment. Lovely hamper was provided also. All the comforts of home, could have stayed there longer. Highly recommend this place to stay.

The location of the house is fantastic. The house is divine and super equipped with everything you could possibly need, as well as being very beautiful and very comfortable. Everything has been done in detail. They even left us breakfast, a wonderful detail. From the house you can go anywhere on the island as it is in a fantastic location. We will definitely come back. La ubicación de la casa es fantástica. La casa es divina y súper equipada con todo lo que se puede necesitar, además de ser muy bonita y muy cómoda. Todo puesto con detalle. Nos dejaron hasta el desayuno, un detalle maravilloso. Desde la casa se puede ir a cualquier sitio de la isla ya que está en un sitio fantástico. Sin duda, volveremos.

exquisite, what a beautifully decorated guest house , Kim and Amar have thought of everything, the attention to detail was evident in every way from the tv over the spar to the lighting in all the rooms , the views were beautiful and mesmerising, Kim greeted us and explained breakfast was not included however they had provided cereal , fruit , bread and accompaniments along with a fridge full of complimentary drinks and snacks , the bed was comfortable and the shower amazing , this property deserves much more than a ten out of ten. Location is central, we were literally 10-20 minutes from all major sites.

Amazing house, between farm and old stone mill, otherwise surrounded by pasture. Perfect heating for all rooms is available - good for Orkneys weather. The apartment is between Stromness and Kirkwall (closer to latter). Beautiful sandy beach can be reached by 30 minutes walk along a path just across the road. Pet/dog friendly!

The cottage is large, roomy and proved to be very sturdy during gale force winds. Despite 6 inches of snow we were able to get out of the driveway. The host thought of everything.
