Vacation doesn't get any better! We spent a great week in this lovely family hotel. The hospitality and warmth is something you rarely find. Plus the setting of the hotel. Beautiful views over the bay and mountains, a gorgeous garden with lots of lovely seating area. A large pool and a semi-private beach with a rif in front of it, so the water is very calm. Good snorkelling as well, we saw a lot of fish and an octopus. The room was on the seaside, spacious and light. Good beds. The breakfast has so many choices and most of it homecooked ( nutella crepes temptation). You can also eat at night at the hotel in the evening. We dined 3 nights in the hotel. Sylvia is a brilliant cook and her food is some of the best we had in Crete (and she is the sweetest person). The taverna next door is very proud of their kalimari, but hers is better! Because we were late in season (second week of October) we were twice the only ones for dinner. The taverna 2 doors down is also ok and has a nice setting. At the end of the dirt road is a nice beach bar for a drink or lunch. Good cove for snorkelling and there is a dive school. Also a coastal path starts there for walking. Mimi tavern was already closed. It is nice to hang in or around the hotel with the lovely people. But is also a good location good exploration. Only 10 minutes drive from Rethymno. Good parking at the hotel grounds. We loved it there.

The villa, the small beach in front, the garden, the parking space, and all the amenities you look for in a house and kitchen make your day. There was even a day we stayed there the whole day, enjoying our drinks and books while looking out at the sea.

The house was perfect! All newly furnished, super comfortable (nice shower, nice bed). Fresh eggs from the chickens for in the morning. Just outside Rethymno, the house is only 1 min away from all the nice sandy beaches. 35min away from Chania and close to Rethymno (12min). Perfect place to go for a 4 / 5 day trip The host Eleanna goes above and beyond to make it a pleasant stay. The house is super clean and smells like fresh clothing. And the food; the best taverna of Crete is just 1 min away. Taverna Klapsinos has all the best dishes (and cheap); most people who come here are the Greek themselves. We are definitely coming back Eleanna!

House was wonderful, so big and lots of places to sit outside . Very comfortable and super pool. Would need a car and local restaurants were 10 mins drive away - all on beach.

We had an absolutely AMAZING stay for 2 weeks! The Villas are just like on the pictures, if not nicer! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is it! Absolutely quiet and relaxing! Finally we found a Villa that really ticks all the boxes. Communication from the moment of booking was seamless. Check -in absolutely wonderful - got greeted with welcome gifts in the Villa (Water, wine, Raki!) . Everything is spotlessly clean. The Villa is of a higher standard and has lots of little touches that make you feel like you are at home. A very well equipped kitchen. Everything is there what you can possibly need. The lovely cleaning ladies came by every 3rd day to clean and refresh towels. TV in the living room and the bedroom. We had a hire car, but found it difficult to explore the Island as that meant we had to leave the Villa :)! You just want to stay and enjoy it!! A really nice beach is just 10 minutes drive away - and if you head the other direction to Rethymno, its just as lovely for dinner and exploring. The little Town in Gerani, which is about 5-10 minutes walk away, has lovely tavernas with delicious food. But we also stayed in the Villa and made our own dinner and enjoyed the evening outside with a bottle of wine. And about previous reviews i read about the Beds that are too soft: I have chronic back pain and only just had a fresh slipped disc in my spine a few months ago. So i was a bit worried when i read the reviews where people said the bed was too soft. However, we found the bed absolutely comfortable and great. Soft but not too bad! No issues with my back at all! Kallia made our stay just perfect. She was so responsive, usually got a response within a minute of texting her when i had a question whilst we were there. Thank you very much for your hospitality and we are in no doubt coming back!!!
