My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Ant. It's located in Novello, a charming and quiet village in the Barolo wine region. Ant is right next to the beautiful Novello castle, and you're surrounded by sweeping vineyard views. Our room was very large with everything we needed (including waters and snacks in the fridge and fresh baked cake waiting for us). The bed was large and comfortable and the decor is truly special. It's very simple (mostly white and wood) which I loved, and there are many interesting details with the furniture and design elements. We stayed for two nights and would go down and have an evening drink on the patio with the great hosts there. The patio and courtyard are beautiful, as is the restaurant. We ate at the restaurant our first night, which you absolutely must do. It was such a fun and unique experience: going to the wine cellar to pick out your bottle for dinner, course after course of unique dishes, a fun game after each course where you guess what you ate and all ingredients involved. The meal was a highlight of our entire trip. Note that it is not traditional Italian whatsoever, but definitely worth the experience. Novello has some other restaurants, enotecas, etc. and the location is a great home base for exploring the wine region. We would love to come back to Ant!

The location is really unique! The view of the Alps is breathtaking, and we could also see a few of the typical Italian small hilltop towns from here. You have a small garden area in the back to sit or lounge (or have meals) and watch the view. The bedrooms are small but the beds are very comfortable and there is ample space to put clothes away. The accommodation is very well equipped to prepare meals but really good restaurants are found just a few kilometers away in all directions. Elena & Luigi are rapidly responsive and provide valuable information on wineries, sights, restaurants and local attractions, both on paper and electronically. Their assistant Giammario is also available nearby. We would have definitely stayed longer in this beautiful location!

The property is located in the very middle of the most picturesque part of Piedmont, close to Barolo. It is on the top of one of many hills in the area and the view is beautiful. There are plenty of good wineries around as well as food options and nice places to visit. The house has 1 floor and is basically a large apartment with 2 rooms, a small (but fully equipped) kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. It is better to arrive by car, and there is an allocated free parking (with a roof), which is very convenient. There are some stairs from the parking, but there is an alternative and easily accessible entrance on the other side. The host, Luigi, is very helpful and is always available by whatsapp if you have any question/request. The communication is easy, check-in/check-out are straightforward. The house has all appliances you may need, including a hair dryer, an iron, a fridge, a dishwasher, etc.

Hyggelig fra første stund! Aldo møtte oss som avtalt og viste oss leiligheten. Den var fantastisk! Hemmeligheten er at Aldo restaurerer gamle møbler i sitt verksted like ved. Det er lagt mye omtanke i alle detaljer i leiligheten. Den er godt utstyrt og komfortabel. Det finnes flere parkeringsplasser og også en garasje. Aldos kone kom innom med et kart til oss "Novello and its pathways". Vi gikk Sol Levante Route på 5,3 km og fikk opplevd mer av området. Novello er et stille og rolig sted. Perfekt for korte bil eller sykkelturer til Barolo, La Morra og andre steder like ved. Leiligheten var perfekt for vårt tre dagers opphold. Det lille ekstra var at vi følte oss veldig velkomne og at vertene var oppriktig glade for å ha gjester. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake til Novello og Mr Barolo Apartements!
