It is a beautiful small house in nature, in an olive grove, in complete peace. The entrance to the house is protected by a fence and a gate. We like peace and comfort. Everything exceeded our expectations. The house (interior) is bigger than it looks in the photos. The household equipment including the kitchen, was perfect, nothing was missing for a content use. Sometimes we would sit on the terrace at sunset and listen to the chirping of birds. Often we watched the kittens playing, enjoying the peace and quiet, just relaxing. There are bugnets in the windows. We did sightseeing tours from here without a problem. There are beaches around Sciacci. Filippo is a kind, attentive, caring host who is always willing to help and advise. You can have breakfast in the pizzeria in Burgio. We have been traveling like this for many years and have experienced many accommodations in different countries, but this accommodation ranks among the best we have experienced. Casa vacanze L'ulivo Burgio we would definitely recommend to people who don't want to be disturbed by the sounds of the city and who want to get peace and comfort. Very helpful and amazing hospitality! Both the owner as his mother were very caring people. Our hostess (mother of the owner) had delicious homemade lasagna for us because the stores were closed during Easter. Easter is a huge event in Burgio (and most of Italy) with great traditions and huge fireworks. It was an amazing experience!

The standard is way better than most hotels - the room appeared like something taken right out of the iconic ball room scene in Viconti’s 1963 classic “The Leopard”. And the view from the room was everything that you could have hoped for when deciding for a stay in the charming mountain city of Caltabellotta. The owner was forthcoming, helpfull, charming and very informative. Don’t miss out on dining in the adjacant restaurant of his - also mindblowingly decorated and painted in fantastic colours. A real experience in itself - even without mentioning the delicious food and excellent service.

The owner was super nice, he picked us up at top of the hill where we parked our car. Then he gave us a ride to a restaurant for lunch. The room was cozy, clean with a small kitchen.

Staying at La Casetta was just the most perfect experience for me traveling alone with my two children. The little house is surrounded by other little row houses (as all housing in Caltabellotta) but it is fully modernized and comfortable. Everything was so clean and well-decorated (it looks even better than the photos). The bathroom was beautiful, with a fantastic shower and plenty of hot water. If the weather is cool, there is plenty of heating and a small space heater for the bathroom. The location of the rental house is perfect because it is right above the main street that runs through Caltabellotta (Via Colonello Vita), yet it is sheltered from street noise from its location on a side street. Just a few meters away is a small shop ("sapori") where you can buy plenty of essentials and basic food; close nearby are also a dessert shop with traditional desserts (La Preferita) and a fine restaurant (Osteria Gulèa). The host, Lila, answered all my questions and is a warm, helpful, and extremely kind person. Also, Caltabellotta is a gem: friendly people, authentic culture, and a microcosm of gorgeous natural and artistic wonders. The neighbors will greet you every time you walk by. The shopkeepers will tell you your children are lovely. The view near the house on top of the mountain is AMAZING. We enjoyed our stay in Caltabellotta immensely-- it is the best kept secret in all of Sicily. I wish we could just live there! :D
