America del Sur Hostel Calafate is located 22 km from the airport and 80 km from the beautiful Perito Moreno Glacier. Free parking is provided on site. Different common areas which were very good and overlooking the lake from afar. My dorm was quite far from the common area which was good cause it was quiet and I could sleep well at night. Hot shower that honestly was so far one of the best showers I have had during my travel in Latin America. When you open the window in the room you can see flowers and and some other nature which was nice. Staff was nice and helpful and spoke English. I booked few tours with them which were good (I recommend the tour to Estancia Cristina!).

All of the rooms at Hosteria y Restaurante America have full en suite bathrooms and TVs. Some of them have views over Beagle Channel. To start with, hotel has an exceptional location - in a quiet area but within 5mins walk to the main street of Ushuaia that has all shops and restaurants. Secondly, the room itself and especially view from the window - it was an absolute pleasure to watch sunrise and sunset there - definitely add one star for that. The hotel itself is very cosy and has nice reception area and restaurant that serves quite good breakfast - eggs, ham, cheese, medialunas, tea/coffee. The room was super cosy, had small fridge and kettle. Bathroom had bathtub and all other amenities. Pity I had to leave - would definitely stay longer. P.S.: just an advice for hotel to add "do not disturb" and "clean my room" signs. I don't usually like my room to be cleaned if I am staying for short period of time and put "do not disturb" sign but they didn't have it so when I came back to the room in the middle of the day, the lady was cleaning it so I had to explain in my poor Spanish that there is no need to do that :)

There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Nice, spacious apartment on 2 floors. Fitted out really well, everything was in great shape. Large and very comfortable bed, secure parking, huge double bath. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
