We saw and heard so much wildlife and went on a spectacular night hike with Osa Wild. The pool area was great and the trails around the grounds were also wonderful. Food and drink was quite expensive, but we could cater for ourselves when we wanted to as we had kitchen facilities in our room.

Embassy house is a very unique place! The host Rafael is extraordinarily kind and helpful. He has a dog named Fidel and a "fat", orange cat named Trump. Both are very cute! The house is full of books, chessboards and other cultural assets, which formed a base for intriguing conversations. The house is located at the very edge of the village. It has a beatiful garden with a terrace on which we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Overall the place has -in the most positive way- a certain "movie-like" feel to it. My girlfriend and I, having planned to go directly from San José to Corcovado national park by bus, our stay in Puerto Jimenez was originally a necessary measure, since there was no connecting bus at the same day we arrived. We ended up enjoying every minute of our stay and Rafael even provided some information about the animal species to be observed in the national park. Overall, I can totally recommend staying at Embassy House and would love to come back any time soon!

Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Dos Brazos, like hiking. We stayed for over a week and saw an incredible amount of wildlife. Every day we saw something different and amazing whether it was monkeys, a sloth, invertebrates, birds (including toucans, swallow tailed kites, hummingbirds, trogons, woodpeckers, parrots, puffbirds, cuckoos), snakes, frogs. Ron, Val and the team do a really great job of maintaining the hostel and the trails. For such a remote location right in the middle of the rainforest the hostel is extremely well equipped including the kitchen, it looks picturesque, and is comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be truly immersed in nature and see a lot of wildlife.

All the accommodations have fans and private bathrooms with shower and hot water. The house also features a kitchen with hob and fridge. They feature a rustic-style décor. We liked absolutely everything at the Danta Corcovado lodge, it was actually our best accommodation so far in Costa Rica. The service is great, the food is amazing at both breakfast and dinner, the room is something special , the territory of the lodge is quite large, has many trails around the lodge, the location is close to the beach. Breakfast had 5 or 6 different choices to choose from. The design is very modern, a lot of creativity. Large room. No need for AC, the room doesn't have windows but has mosqueto nets. There is a possibility to take tours from that place but we didn't so can't comment. We stayed here on the way back from the Corcovado overnight Serena tour. If I could rate it higher than 10 I would gladly do it! Next time we will plan to stay in this place for longer.

Amazing and healthy food put together by the owner who is a nutritionist and yoga teacher. The property goes directly onto the beach. Wild life such as howler monkeys, macaws, the blue morpheus butterfly and other exotic birds fly around for easy observation. Early morning yoga was offered and it was nourishing. The other guests were super friendly and even as a solo traveler it was easy to connect during dinner or cocktail hour. It's secluded and when you arrive after taking a long bumpy road, you truly have arrived in paradise. The owner helped me organize my Corcovado trip and other excursions. They are very knowledgeable about the country and the region. I absolutely loved my stay and will be back again!

This allows you to have the room open to a nice breeze or the comfort of the AC. Wonderful big shower with plenty of hot water. Large refrigerator with room for ice. Bird tour with Louise was wonderful, they have lots of other tours available and they will pick you up right at Maze Lodge. The lodge is right next to a Zip Line tour, we didn’t try it, but I’m sure you can get a great deal.
