When we arrived at the ferry dock in Aswan, we were greeted by Ebrahim, the boatman from the guest house. He & his friends/relatives helped to carry our luggages down the stairs to the boat. The boat ride to the guest house was absolutely breathtaking, we were so glad we decided to stay on Elephantine Island. Once we arrived at the guest house, one of the hosts, Omar, invited us to the rooftop to have our welcome drinks. So we sipped our hibiscus tea while enjoying the beautiful view of the Nile River during sunset, it was so serene. We had dinner & breakfast the next day on the rooftop as well, Abu Nasser is an amazing chef! Omar & Abu Nasser were very warm & welcoming, we felt at home right away. The location of the guest house is on the quieter side of Elephantine Island, facing the Aga Khan Mausoleum across the river, it felt very peaceful. There are no cars, tuk-tuks or motorcycles on Elephantine Island, so we walked everywhere, to the ferry dock & to the restaurants. It was honestly a very enjoyable walk because we got to see how some of the locals lived. Our rooms were clean & nicely decorated, each room had the view of the Nile River. The shower pressure & the WIFI were good.

We absolutely loved the guest house - the hospitality, the food, the location, the rooftop terrace - everything was perfect! We also appreciated that the owner helped us organize the activities (airport pickup, Abu Simbel & Luxor private transfer), which reduced the stress of planning by a lot. Three location is very quiet and romantic, we enjoyed Aswan the most out of the biggest cities in Cairo. All in all, 10/10!

Nala Narty Nubian House & Organic Farm se găsește pe malul mării în Assuan, la 19 km de Mausoleul Aga Khan, și oferă diverse facilități, printre care o grădină, o zonă de plajă privată și o terasă. The location on an island is quite cozy and has an amazing view. We were nicely welcomed by our host Omar, even if it was in the middle of the night. The rooms were clean and well decorated, the view of the Nile from the room is stunning. The breakfast was based on local products and homemade dishes. Overall an exceptional experience, we were glad to have stayed there.

I can walk around Nubian Village market. I usually leave before breakfast, so they prepare snacks and drinks for us everyday. Staff available to help carry the luggage. The owner and staff are helpful:)

Nile Bride se află în Assuan, la 23 km de Mausoleul Aga Khan, și include o grădină, o terasă și vedere la munte. Our stay at the Nile Bride was one of our best stays in all of our travels. Mostafa and Mohamed sometime pass by for a talk and are very helpfull. The food we ordered at night was the best we ate in our 3 week trip in Egypt beside of the terrace and the view on the nile and the oposite deserted mountains with ancient tombs. Ask them to go birdwatching by boat on the Nile at 7.00am. They will also pick you up with the boat when you arrive and bring you to the mainland again when you leave. We came for 2 nights and stayed 5. This village with its ancient history is a very special place. After spending some days on the island it felt like everybody knew us and we came so easy to conversations and wonderful encounters.

Beautiful rooftop where to enjoy the river view, ok rooms, location close to the river where to take the boat. But the best thing was the people working there, who helped us with everything during our trip, from transportation to Aswan to laundry and day-trips to the Nubian Village, and made us love the island. There is a sense of community on the island and especially in the guest house that we will always remember.
