We were also privileged to meet Abdalla's friends who included us in their conversations (and even invited us to share their home-cooked meal), and the tasty traditional teas prepared by one of the friends were the best I ever tasted! It felt like we were staying with a group of friends! The budget rooms are basic, but very clean - beds were comfortable, linen and towels were super clean, complimentary WiFi was the fastest and most reliable during the entire trip. Included breakfast is freshly cooked by the owner himself and is served at the communal table in the common area. Also, the owner kindly offered us transportation from the bus station, but we walked because this place is easy to find along the main road. If you enjoy the sunset - the hostel is a short walking distance from the Shali fortress, and also there are plenty of local eateries in the town center which makes your experience authentic.

I stay in a lot of 4-5 star hotels around the world for work and nothing compares on how comfortable I felt in this place while eating sitting on the cushions on the floor, chilling on the nets and cushions outside as well. 3- The hot spring of course it’s a huge plus, it’s hot for real, amazing to chill early morning and at night, I could literally stay there for hours. 4- The food, although very simple but very flavorful, good portion and value for it as well. What I ate for dinner literally tasted like my mom had cooked it. I had been driving for a very long time before arriving, and Mohammed kindly allowed me to check in early without any hesitation. That small gesture made a huge difference — I could rest, recharge, and start my Siwa experience full of energy. He was always available for any questions and gave great recommendations. The local breakfast was fresh and delicious, a perfect start to each day. Mohammed is one of those rare hosts who genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in making their stay special. If I had more cash on me, I would have tipped him generously — he truly deserves it. I hope the owner knows what a gem they have with him.
