Located on the Ile d’Oleron, the Hotel Île De Lumière offers direct access to the beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and many other facilities. Helpful staff, good continental breakfast. Nice pool area, didn’t use as lashing rain. Room was modern and comfortable with nice bathroom.

The apartment is situated in the heart of the old city but still very peaceful. When we were visiting local rugby team has won European championship so there were a lot of parties in the city but there was barely any noise coming to the apartment. The apartment is decorated eclectic but very chic, so one can see that Virginie has an amazing taste! The bed was very comfortable with quality bedsheets, so even if I was 7,5 months pregnant when visiting, I had a most comfortable sleep.

There were beer and soft drinks available for purchase. Our room and communal areas were very comfortable and clean. We arrived by bicycle and there was a garage to store the bikes. Very nice if you’re on a motorbike or bicycle! We opted for breakfast. It was good value and included some delicious homemade jams. The garden area and patio is really nice. There is a jacuzzi available at extra charge but we didn’t try it. Had it been a cold wet day; after arriving by bicycle that would have been really nice!!

Genevieve has renovated La Burie with gorgeous decor and modern fixtures. Extremely clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast with homemade jams and great coffee. She is very kind and helpful.
