Staff was very attentive and very friendly whoever you spoke to and they all made sure we had a good experience. The food was really good too. The newer area of the hotel was very nicely decorated and clean, and the old part of the estate still had a very cosy feeling, especially the bar in the "library" where we could sit and have a few drinks after dinner.

Our first time in Scotland and glamping and I’m sooo glad I didn’t book a hotel ! … the pods are beautiful and ever so cosy … we definitely did not need to bring extra woollies with us ! … we arrived on Xmas day to a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us … fresh eggs and milk were provided too which was very welcome ! … the pod was very clean too. beds are comfy and so is the sofa bed (I have same one at home) this is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas and relaxing here in the evening … we spotted lots of wild animals including cute rabbits in the evenings … the owner is very friendly and lit us up a little fire on our last night so my little one could toast some marshmallows. felt very safe … Highly recommend this place !

Having an entire suite (bedroom, bathroom, sitting/kitchenette) all on one floor and to ourselves was better than we expected. The area was quiet and seemed safe. We were sorry we were only staying one night -- not enough time to hike the Eildon Hills and explore all the historic places in the area, some within walking distance of the property.
