Located in Bukit Lawang, Rambai Tree Jungle Lodges - Family Friendly features a garden, terrace, massage services, and free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and room service. We stayed there before and after a 4 day jungle trek during the low/wet season. The bungalow was located on the river, right at the edge of the jungle. There are frequently macaque and Thomas's leaf monkeys in the trees and jumping on the roof. You can leave non-food items on the patio (like clothes drying after the jungle), but the host advised us to keep the door locked when we aren't around to keep them from coming in. We specifically chose somewhere without AC to acclimatize to the temperature and humidity, but ventilation inside was good. Porters met us at our taxi to carry the luggage through the village and across the bridge, which was appreciated.

Breakfast is delicious. The area is surrounded by rice fields and it’s very beautiful to walk around for the sunset. Dila is very kind and welcoming. She borrowed us her scooter to go to the city center and she advised us on few restaurants and cafes. And we also had a chance to spend a day together. Dila showed us around Padang .. beautiful waterfall, jungles hike. The place is calm and we had a good rest. Totally recommend!

I started communicating with Sarah months before with questions on the weather and trekking and she was always accommodating even when i hadn't booked anything! A few months later I finally booked a stay and everything was organised very well from the airport pickup to my room to an amazing 3 day trek with the best guides SUGI and SATRIA! I didn't want to be pressured on the hike which can happen when you're with a group of younger, more fit and more 'aggressive' hikers. So Sarah's husband paired me up with a couple who wanted to take their time and we were the perfect match! Our guides made sure we were safe, well fed, comfortable and we got to see soooo many animals - core memories - MADE!
