Bit of a hike to get there but very interesting little streets and you get to meet your neighbours on the way in and out. Room spacious, well equipped; warm but fans (and you can sleep on terrace if steaming). Private bathrooms. Really nice breakfasts, good choices, eggs/veggies/pancakes/toast/butter/jam, fruit juice, fruit, all super fresh and beautifully cooked and served to order plus tea/coffee available all day. Arnold and Fred work very hard to keep things clean and tidy, and offer tons of info on EVERYTHING you could want to know. Plus good wifi. Extremely friendly atmosphere. Excellent value for money; I strongly recommend, esp. for a single traveller, felt very comfortable and relaxing.

It was a great stay. Immanuel was incredible, helping us with directions, turn down service, recommendations and breakfast. The home itself is beautiful with great amenities and especially views of the city.

The staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive. We have a young family and they were great with the children too. The house is a beautiful old Swahili house. The rooms are on the upper floors meaning there is a nice breeze to keep you cool at night and during the day. We have 2 small children and easily fitted into one family room. There was also a great roof terrace for sundowners and/or dinner each night. Location was very convenient - a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Edwin was very helpful in organising dhows, dinner and bonfire in the dunes etc. We will definitely be back!
