Chachapoyas Backpackers Hostal Boutique se găsește în Chachapoyas și are un lounge comun și o terasă. One of the best hotels I stayed at in my 3 months in Peru. For the price, the room was FABULOUS. It was huge with a balcony overlooking the city. The bed was comfy and the shower had hot water and good water pressure. The internet worked well. Breakfast was good. I got to check in early.

Showers had good hot water that lasted just long enough for a shower on full pressure (turn down the pressure and I’m sure it lasts much longer) Staff was great. Nancy was very helpful even though she couldn’t really speak English (and my Spanish is worst than her English. She did speak almost fluent French). But husband Alfredo was great with English and helping me plan my stay.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!

Wonderful place to stay just outside of town with a nice view from the top floor to the mountains. It’s about 10-15 minutes on foot to the center. Very friendly owner who also owns a travel agency. He goes out of his way to help us for example to order pizza for us and to help us booking tickets for Kuelap online. We ordered a taxi with him to get us around and the driver Ivan was wonderful in also giving us explanations and talking about Peru people in general (possible even with our limited knowledge of Spanish).
