Northernlight cabin 2 is set in Kiruna, 22 km from LKAB Visitor Centre, 36 km from Esrange Space Center, and 20 km from Kiruna Folkets Hus. Super cute cabin with great view. The river is right in front and you can walk across it in the winter. We had a great view of the northern lights and we were able to see them. The hosts were super friendly as well. There are various activities nearby, I recommend one right (snow mobile and dog sledding) next door it’s like a 5 minute walk. Really enjoyed my stay.

Situated 3.1 km from Aula Nordica, 3.2 km from Umeå universitet and 700 metres from Umeå Train Station, Centrala stan Hel 2 rums Gästsvit features accommodation set in Umeå. Very warm. Compact space with everything you need. Plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking and eating. Lots of blankets. Easy walking distance to train station and shops. Allowed to stay an extra hour until our train departure, which was appreciated (it was -16°C outside!).

Offering barbecue facilities and lake view, Little adorable red is situated in Kiruna, 17 km from Kiruna Bus Station and 19 km from LKAB Visitor Centre. This place is perfect if you want a quiet location with Alttajärvi lake on one side and the woods and hill on the other side. We enjoyed the winter walks along the trails and walking on the lake! The location is perfect to spot northern lights and being close to IRF you can use the Aurora Alert on IRF Aurora App. Even when cloudy in Kiruna, Alttajärvi had clear sky with amazing star display of the milky way. Not much light pollution here!! Kiruna is only 15 mins away by car. The house has what you need for a few days. Washing machine has a 15min program and things dry easily over night on radiators or the clothes airer. Sheets and towels are provided. The fireplace is an extra plus! You can buy wood at petrol stations! Husky tours you will found everywhere! The mine is worth a visit! Northern light chase is for people without a car, you just need to step outside when nature decide to put on a display. Abisko has clearer nightsky so the probability to see it increases if you take yourself there.

Located in Jukkasjärvi, Camp Caroli Hobbit Hut is a recently renovated accommodation, 21 km from Kiruna Bus Station and 21 km from Esrange Space Center. We had a fantastic time at Camp Caroli and we enjoyed having Stefan as our tour guide and host! Loved every minute of it and hope to come back!
