This little hidden gem absolutely exceeded my expectations. Though at first the price seems high, when you think of what you would get from a travellodge or similar, then paying for extras link breakfast and drinks, there wasn't much difference for our family of four. The location is spectacular and you feel very much in the wild. We stayed for a night to break up a visit with family and as a Christmas treat and what a treat it was. The yurt is toasty warm thanks to the wood pellet stove, though the outdoor toilet in -7 degrees was a bit chilly! There were heated blankets in the beds though we ended up not needing them. The children loved the outdoor space, the fairy doors, whimsical tree house and mud kitchen. What made it so special for us was the view of the night sky, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars and to fall asleep looking at that through the skylight was so special. The hosts have supplied so many home comforts inside the yurt too, hot chocolate and teas and coffee, a box of board games, books and home made ornaments to compliment the space. The microwave and outdoor fire pit BBQ allowed us to cook a lovely meal and then breakfast was superb, continental style with eggs probably from the chickens in the coop nearby! Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY!

It was clean, warm and comfy even if small, sorrounded by nature. It fitted two adults and a 3yo toddler. The host out a teepee tent in the garden for our kid. Very appreciated. The pod was warm when we arrived, the host turn the heat on for us. Everything was great!

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Rosemount . Óisín and Natasha greeted us upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know for staying there. They were so lovely and made sure we were well taken care of . The tent itself was so beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing. The tent became warm and cosy quick with the fire inside which I felt very safe with. I can’t fault a single thing it was a beautiful stay and we will definitely be back . Tent was lovely, very clean and cozy. It was cold at night but the radiator provided warmed it up so it was a lovely temperature. Easy to check in and lock, felt very safe. Bathroom was very clean and had everything we needed. Excellent location to the train station

This is a beautiful wee cabin over a pond just outside Portarlington. Gorgeous setting. Had everything we needed for a few days exploring County Laois. Great communication with the host, chocolates and wine on arrival. Perfectly appointed studio with adjoining bathroom / shower. Comfortable sofa bed, warm and cosy. Just a magical spot with birds outside the window in the morning.
