The rooms are very clean, the surroundings are beautiful, and you can actually see Lion’s Rock from the property. But the most amazing thing was the hospitality of the owners. Kavindu and his mother were the kindest and most helpful people we have ever met. Not only did they help us arrange transportation, safaris, and other touristic activities, but they also helped us understand Sri Lankan culture at its core. They were very fun to chat with, and I can say that the breakfast was so tasty that I wish we could have had it more often. Long story short, you wouldn’t be disappointed with this beautiful, family-owned homestay!

Lovely friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfasts and dinners if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the home cooked rice and curry, it’s so tasty and the mum will cook it as spicy as you like (I like it spicy and it was so yummy compared to the bland ‘tourist curry’ they serve in a lot of the restaurants in Sri Lanka’) The son even showed me around the area, it really felt like home. Highly recommend!

The host and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they truly made us feel at home. The location is something very special — right in the middle of the jungle. One of the most unforgettable moments was seeing a whole family of elephants walking right past the garden, so close to us. It felt completely unreal. Staying in the tree house was an experience of its own. Falling asleep surrounded by jungle sounds and waking up immersed in nature made this place truly unique.
