Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the pool, Casa Cactus Buenavista is set in Bacalar and offers accommodation with free WiFi. We stayed for 3 night and it was great. Jay had a big list of activities and recommendations in the area, Sebastian did a sailing trip with us and we went to a secluded, beautiful spot in the lagoon and Mari kept us fed in the morning and kept the room looking great. My wife and I ended up spending the evenings chatting to Sebastian and Jay by the fire. It was a great experience and we'll be coming back in a few days when we return from Mahahual.

Incredible location, you really have the laguna for yourself there-beautiful eco-cabanas-extremely friendly and efficient team! I would definitely recommend to stay there!

Located in Bacalar, Pucté 13 provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. This place was dreamy. Beautiful, quiet, full of birds. Our room was a twin sea view and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves and could see the sunrise from our beds. It was spare but was very spacious, with windows on most sides and great breezy curtains. The stars at night were incredible with no light pollution. There are beach chairs and loungers, scuba gear and a paddle board to borrow at no extra cost, plus a rooftop with a beautiful view. The common area is nice and large, a big dining table, couches, books and games. There is a very small bar w/ an ala carte menu avail, but bring groceries-- the kitchen is big, with plenty of dishware, cooking supplies, fridge room and storage. This place may not be for everyone-- does not have much staff, or people raking seaweed from the beach, or much of a restaurant or the kind of service some people need, and its pretty far from everything down a rutted dirt road, but it was perfect for us and we wish we stayed longer.

Cachito de Cielo Luxury Jungle Lodge in Tulum provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. This was a beautiful room in a very lovely lush jungle area. The room was very large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft and the rain shower head with hot water was the best shower I have had in Mexico. There was a fully stocked kitchen to cook. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Set in Bacalar, Tucán Villages Bacalar Lagoon Front offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. The location is by the water, in front of one of the cenotes in the lagoon. Easy communication, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Set in Tulum, Yaxchen Tulum Cabañas & Cenote offers 3-star accommodation with access to a garden and a terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The property is amazing, the cenote beautiful and the staff is super super kind.

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the garden, ANAND Ecoaldea is set in Puerto Morelos and offers accommodation with free WiFi. The owner is really welcoming and gave us loads of great recommendations. We enjoyed using the wood oven and the campfire spot. It’s a beautifully decorated plot in the jungle. If you love staying in nature in a proper wood cabin and aren’t afraid of what can come with it, then this is a great place to stay. Lovely breakfast and the all staff were really kind. Loads of great things to do around and it feels a little bit out of the more touristy area. You definitely need a car to stay there.

With sea views, Hotel Cielo y Selva is located in Punta Allen and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Beautiful views & chill staff. Would live there if we could!

Boasting a garden and views of pool, The Diving Lodge Downtown is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Puerto Morelos, a few steps from Playa Puerto Morelos. The perfect Mexican cabins on the beach! The location was perfect for us, we enjoyed the short beautiful ten minute walk to town every evening for dinner. You can walk along the beach or down the street. It’s perfect while on vacation, especially after eating a great dinner. The best bar on the beach with the best and most attentive bartenders and staff. They are warm and create a welcoming enjoyment environment. There’s a restaurant, a pool, and option to get massages on site. The Greek restaurant had their re-opening after their remodel while we were there, and we had the opportunity to sample their food. It was good, nice to have the option. The bar also serves food.
