We had an amazing stay at Punga Lodge! The location was easy to find and convenient and the views from our room were lovely. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Dyan, our host, was wonderful and took such great care of us. Breakfast was incredible (especially the muffins)! We would love to come back someday!

Located in Orewa in the Auckland region, Pohutukawa Lodge by Orewa Beach has river views and a peek of the sea. Beautiful, homely house, spotlessly clean and with every amenity you could want. Toys, games and books for the kids were especially appreciated, kitchen very well equipped, and welcoming hosts who have thought of everything. Great walk by the estuary nearby and an easy drive to Orewa and the beach. We'd return without hesitation.

Really cute stay in a couples house. The rooms are cute and cozy with everything you need like cozy robes etc. i can totally recommend staying here on the way up north or coming back to Auckland

The Ruru apartment is enormous, fully equipped and absolutely gorgeous. She is an artist (the studio is on site) and it shows in the decor. The grounds are beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast on the lawn overlooking the sea. It is essentially at the door of gorgeous Tawharanui regional park.

The apartment is beautiful, a work of art in itself. While it doesn't have a view out to the sea (except from the bathroom), there are large sliding glass doors and windows in the living room and bedrooms that open onto a lovely lawn and garden, with unspoiled forest beyond. Even the drive up is spectacular. The apartment is well designed, with ample space and very comfortable furniture and beds (with high quality linens and plenty of pillows). The kitchen was generously stocked with breakfast and snack items, as well as everything we needed to prepare a simple meal. The hosts are a lovely couple who live in the main house. They kept in touch, letting us know when they were out and how to contact them if we needed to, and providing us with a flexible checkout as they didn't have a following guest. Everything was spotlessly clean and in good repair. We appreciated the underfloor heating system that kept the entire space at a comfortable and even temperature even during the chilly early morning, and we made use of the washer and dryer (provided in the garage). Truly this was a wonderful stay in a very special place. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

All the little items that were set out for us made us feel so welcome.🙂 Milk, OJ, butter, water in the fridge on arrival. There was tea, coffee, and cereal handy. The bed and bed-linen were superb. The hosts, Astrid and Marcus were wonderful - friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Four Huia.
