We loved this lodge from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed by Deb and shown to our room which was amazing. Hearing the back story to this delightful lodge was both sad and heartwarming. The love and dedication and hard work to make this lodge a special and memorable place has truly paid off. The rooms are exquisite, the common areas are welcoming and the wide verandah is gorgeous. What is not to love about this place. The unexpected home cooked breakfast on our first morning there was delicious also. A departing hug just sealed the deal - this was a special place!!!

Our 3rd visit here is our best recommendation last time for 3 weeks this time for almost 4. Only wish it could have been more... The log cabin is a delight, the hot tub a great boon, all and all it is a haven of quiet, serenity, and renewal. It is already a dream to return.

We were offered a room in the main house, although we had apparently booked into the motel section, at no extra cost. The new room was beautiful, charmingly decorated, and it had a view over the lake. It was actually possible to get a healthy breakfast from the food on offer.

Everything was great about our stay there. The location, the room, the staff. The owner of the hotel (Sean) was a lifesaver to us. Our car key snapped in the ignition and he did everything he could and helped us get out of this difficult situation. Definitely recommend to visit Silver lake and to stay at Sierra Sands Family Lodge.
