Owner and host, Nicolas, has breathed life in to a grand but falling down town house and former shop in Montrejeau. The labyrinthine building dates in places from 1300AD and exudes charm and mystery (will you find the secret room in the 4 person suite?) and Nicolas has restored original features such as the centuries old parquet flooring and marble fireplace, the 1930s basin in the bathroom and the 1950s kitchen where we ate a delicious breakfast. We stayed only one night but it left a strong wonderful impression on all of my family. I have never previously been inspired to write a review of a hotel, but then I've also never stayed in a place where there is an old (but in tune) baby grand piano in my suite for my son to play, hidden doorways, and a charming walled garden with fruit trees from which the breakfast jam is made. Nicolas knows the history of the house and the local area and is happy to tell you about it if you are interested.

Our hosts Wilma and Johan are the hosts you want if you are staying in a B&B. They went well beyond the expected to make our stay enjoyable. Their home is styled for comfort and relaxation. Our room was spacious and well appointed as were several others that we saw. We particularly liked the modern kitchen/morning eating area. They struck the right balance between our privacy and important to us, offering insight into their lives. We would recommend to others and definitely return.

Really convenient stopover on the way to / from the Pyrenees, 5 minutes from the A64 and 35 - 60 minutes by car from points of interest in the mountains. Very clean and very pleasant. Beds are comfortable and the window is equipped with mosquito net. Kitchen is well equipped with everything one needs, tea and coffee are offered. Has garden view and thus is quiet, undisturbed by car traffic. Owners are very friendly, sympathetic and welcoming.
