We had a lovely stay. Helena the owner was very warm and friendly. She was very accommodating and very considerate towards us. She was even willing to cook us a nice dinner on the day we arrived very tired. Next morning she took me into the little town as I wanted to go to the shops to do a few purchases. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her place. It was very clean and tidy and has eveything you need for a comfortable stay. On the day of our departure she showed me how to make a dessert ( Torta de Laranja) which she specially made for us to take, It was delicious. Thank you Helena for making our stay memorable. We will come again.

Quinta da Mata is located in the middle of a beautiful olive orchard. Roughly a 30 minute drive brings you to some amazing sites in the region or a nice store. The hosts are very helpful, nice and try to make your stay as enjoyable as can be. We stayed here with 3 little kids and had a great time. In the region while visiting the sites and on the property of Quinta da Mata it was a great place to relax.

This house is amazing!!!! it’s very close by 2 minutes from the horsefair and shops and restaurants and cafes etc. The rooms and bathroom in the house is very clean, nice with tv and a lot of space for your clothes. The rooms are with heating and with realy good and warm beds! The host is realy kind and nice! I can realy recommend this house for everybody! Regards, Karin van Megen. Netherlands

Great place to spend some time in a peaceful and comfortable house with swimming pool. Very well equipped incl. 6 bathrooms. The host was very nice and gave us several recommendations regarding where to eat and where to go. Good location close to many interesting places (incl. UNESCO heritage sites) like Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaca, Fatima, Santarem, Nazare. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and to green areas.

Francisco our host was beyond helpful leading up to our stay. I was doing the Camino walk and he even offered to give me a ride into Golega for the last 5km of my walk. I did politely decline. He also offered a taxi service for my mother who was coming in by train. He greeted us with the friendliest of welcomes and even changed our room free of charge.
