Parking was free, which was a nice bonus.
The check-in process was smooth, and we received our room key earlier than the official check-in time, which was great.
Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of variety to choose from. There was a minor issue with the coffee machine not working, but the staff addressed it immediately, which I appreciated.

The apartment is close to the market and the breakfast at the super cozy Cafe Teufner is highly recommended. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had Christmas sauna too. The apartment is also within short driving distance to Wachau wine yard and Vienna. We will come here again during the harvest season for sure!

Beautiful little town.
Beautiful little town. Also a good starting point for trips in the Warchau-area. The Tourist Information centre is very knowledgeable and helpful. I did a day trip with boat/Wachaubahn (railway)/bus, and it was amazing.

Melk is an adorable town.
Melk is an adorable town. The Melk Abbey is definitely worth a visit and the stopover in this town. Several great restaurants and lots of small shops and great location for access to Danube River cruises.

Nice to walk around by the riversides and within the city. Restaurant "Mahlzeit in Melk" has friendly staff, worth to sit in if hungry.
House on the rock is an interesting house, worth to wander and wonder it around.

Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. The Abbey gardens are also splendid. Walking around the town or on the banks of the Danube is a pleasure. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. You can also take cruises on the Danube.

A lovely small and quiet town on the Danube left bank. The Abbey visit deserve more than one hour, in order to dedicate time for a stroll in the gardens; a plus if you know German, as part of the explanation are not translated. The town center is small, but we like-it, as we decide to stay over the night in Melk.

Melk is a beautiful town along the Danube river.
Melk is a beautiful town along the Danube river. Its small, quaint, and historic. We spent a day in Melk and a day riding bikes in the Wachau valley. The abbey in Melk is beautiful. Definitely take the tour! We rode bikes to Krems and rode the bus back to Melk. We rented bikes from Wachau Touristik located on Pioneerstrasse 1 down by the river. They were fantastic to work with and had our reservation ready when we got there early in the morning. Melk is easily accessible by OBB train and on the route to Salzburg. You can easily walk to downtown Melk and most of the hotels and pensions right from the train station.

Great location (just in front of Rathaus in the old town, 10 min on foot to the abbey, in the heart of the beautiful old town with many restaurants, shops and ice cream shops), very kind and helpful staff during the whole stay, parking in the inner yard (5 parking spaces + space for bicycles), great breakfast served from 7.30h till 10h. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. It was a lovely city and a lively hotel for one night stop on our way home.

Location is great - right in the historic town with centuries old buildings. As you step out of the hotel you see Melk monastery above the nearby square. You can easily wal the old streets andvthe entrans to the monastery is some 500m away (some steps). Breakfast is OK. Friendly staff. Part of the hotel is leased as a restaurant/bar (pizzas...). We could park in the street right by the hotel.

This was a fantastic place to stop during our Austrian road trip.
The staff were so very friendly and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the restaurant served a most delicious home made dinner and breakfast. A visit to the Abbey is a must!
