This was a great stay, the hotel is easy to acces from the railway station and the location is beautiful. The breakfest and the bar were amazing and we met very friendly people, also the region is full with great mountain hikes with breathtaking views. 10/10

We liked the hous and its surronding with animals and the peacfull quiet in the mountins. The location is 10 min drive from Payerbach. It is a lovely and peacfull farm where you can rest and enjoy, a real escape from the bussy everydays. We went for hiking! Schneeberg - 45 mins by car (from puchberg) Rax (karl ludvig hutte) - 20 mins by car ! The house are well equipped: Coffee machine (capsulas inclueded) washing machin, hair dryer, kitchens kit. They had even herbs to cook with on the terras :)

Our stay at Zemlinsky was far from perfect. The room/apartment was spacious, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. We have nothing to complain about—just a recommendation for other families to choose this family hotel. They also gave us a card that entitled us to free transport to nearby villages (RufBus).

The small town is a beautiful "jewel box" (that's how we say it in Hungarian). I took a walk in the morning in the sunshine and it was beautiful. Mountains, rivers, viaduct. Quiet, safe and 20 minutes drive to the Semmering ski resort.

August. I tried to book in Reichenau an der Rax, to be close to the elevator/seilbahn, but optimized my expenses, so I booked to Payerbach. If you would like to get in walk distance from Raxaplen Austrian landscape, lot of hungarian staff in restaurants (hospitality, professionialism 10/10). Rax seilbahn elevator is 37 EUR / adult. I used my car to travel between villages. Main goal was to get to the Raxalpen mesa with my children, and we fulfilled this goal. Ottohaus and Raxalm-Berggasthof were good restaurants to take rest. At the villages nearby are petting zoo, waterfalls, you can swim in the small river, do small hikings to watch cows. Alps feeling 100%

There is a lovely Patisserie about 10 minutes walk for Landhaus Dodo where you get lovely cakes and tortes. The supermarkets are about 10 minites away by car in the neighbouring town of Reichenau. Payerbach is a lovely place for walking.

Nice little town in the mountains.

Nice little town in the mountains. As one would expect in Austria, it is very clean and organised and locals are friendly. The Semmeringbahn railyway line offers easy, quick and scenic transit to nearby settlements. Ski resorts close by. Overall, great experience.

Payerbach has a perfect location for hiking or cycling in...

Payerbach has a perfect location for hiking or cycling in the mountains. There are many hiking trails (and not only on the Rax). There is a small hill (950 m) above the town which gives you a beautiful view on the valley. There is a Bahnwanderweg (Railway hiking trail) to Semmering with many amazing viaducts. On the first day we took the train until Semmering and we walked back to Breitenstein and took the train home from there. The next day we took the train to Breitenstein and walked back to Payerbach from there. Do not forget to drink a coffee and eat a cake or ice cream in the Cafe Alber in Payerbach.

Convenient location for trips to Semmering or Stuhleck, it is located close to the S6 motorway. The town center has many shopping possibilities. Train station nearby can be convenient for some travellers.
