Our visit was to attend our brothers funeral, who lived in the area. There owners and staff were extremely accommodating, the restaurant is normally closed on a monday evening but they opened it so that all of the family could have a meal together after the ceremony, this was very much appreciated thank you. We would stay again when we return to Windischgarsten.

We absolutely loved this charming little hotel. It’s surrounded by beautiful mountains, which makes the whole place feel so peaceful. Our recently renovated balcony room was both stylish and cozy. The pool area is just fantastic and the panoramic sauna is such a treat! The staff is also so friendly and helpful, always making sure everything was just right.

Such a lovely hotel. So many spa areas, I didn't have time to visit all of them, but the ones I did were extremely lovely. Breakfast was great with the juicing machine, a wide range of food options and friendly staff.

It is an old family hotel that has made the change to a self-check-in system without any changes to the interior. There are dozens of rooms and a restaurant with kitchen equipment and utensils that guests can use, but I think I was the only one there and had the whole place to myself. There was no staff, no breakfast, not a single sound. There was a note asking me, upon departure, to leave the key in the room and 2.30 euro tourist tax in cash on the table. I liked the experience, but to some it may seem eerie. The hotel is on the edge of the village and there is a nice walking path around the fields and farms, and a quaint swimming pool / restaurant across the road.
