The location was absolutely perfect, we could easily hike around the area. Overall, I believe that it was the best place for us to stay at, even better than being down in the town centre. We could easily reach the hotel by a public bus (960). The staff is super friendly and helpful, we were very happy with everything. If we would return to Dachstein, we would happily stay there again. :)

Super friendly and helpful staff in regional dress in a fantastic location. Fabulous food also and much from local suppliers. Pool and spa were perfect, and we were lucky with the weather too. We’ll be back!

We were very pleasantly surprised - it was an almost last minute booking, so we did not have high expectations but wow! In the very heart of a picturesque village, a family-run-style hotel that proves that old school hospitality (more than a couple of centuries of experience belt if I remember correctly!) can still keep up & get constant comfy modern add-ons & updates. The restaurant offered a good playground to a chef who seemed to have fun in going beyond the tried & tested; good selection of wines (and yes, Austria is getting better & better at this). Oh, and everything gets even better with the spa, and massages…not to miss. So good that we would really hope to come back for longer.

One of the most beautiful places on this planet.

One of the most beautiful places on this planet. Easy to get around with the Ramsau am Dachstein Summercard and the bus and gondola systems. Loved the gondola to the top and the Sky walk, the Stairway to Heaven and the Stairway to Nothingness. Also liked Rittisberg and its attractions such as the Flyline, toboggan and High Ropes. The Go Karting down 7 kms of the Planai mountain was also fun

Great place for cross-country skiing, walking around,...

Great place for cross-country skiing, walking around, enjyoing fresh air and views of the Ski amade reagion incl. magnificent Dachstein. A few places to eat, but worth it - DAS Rittis, Red Angus, Waldschenke and most probably suggested Peter Rosseger restaurant (not visited).

Beautiful small town in a very scenic area.

Beautiful small town in a very scenic area. Several good restaurants and an excellent vegetarian cafe. Awesome hiking and skiing, both alpine and cross country. Close to Schladming for anything else you might need.

Ramsau is amazing, beautiful scenery, many restaurants and attractions, especially for kids. The local Erlebnisbad (aquacenter) is amazing, nearby Rittisberg is absolutely wonderful for kids. Many lifts closeby within a short driving distance, the Dachstein main lift basically right in Ramsau.

Very good location with plenty of choices if you like hiking...

Very good location with plenty of choices if you like hiking, ferrata (klettersteig in Germain), running, or skiing. I stayed here with 10year old daughter and we could find lots of activities together and she liked it as I did.

we went to this area because we want to visit the Dachstein...

we went to this area because we want to visit the Dachstein Glacier! if u want to visit it u need to book your Gondola seat (ascent and descent) at this website https://www.derdachstein.at for an extra it is possible to visit also the ice palace! it is very interesting! inside u can find many ice sculptures! but pay attention because if u want to visit it u need to cross the suspended bridge! and if you suffer from vertigo ... but it is a unique experience!!!

The Schrempf family pension is great! The staff was very friendly, and the assistance was beyond expectation!!...makes our stay most pleasant. Hotels can be simple or fancy, but what really matters to me is the service and the feeling of being seen. More than that, the breakfast was great and rich. The Spa is cozy, very clean, and pleasant. Nice rooms - not new but all functioning very well. pleasant to stay. For sure, I will make an effort to come again to Alpenband and the beautiful Ramsau am Dachstein region.

Communication with the hotel was great from the very beginning. The location is nice, within 15 mins we we were able to reach the main ski slopes in Schladming/Ski Amadé. The host also recommended some places and events which turned out great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, water in shower always hot and there was also a common space where you could sit with friends, family and also heat up some meals for dinner for example. The breakfast had a wide variety to choose from.

Breakfast was simple and good. Very clean rooms with all necessary facilities. Very kind and helpful owners. Picturesque view of the Alps from our room. Ideal place for hiking in summer with a numerous trails of different difficlty levels. Rittisberg amusement park for children not far from hotel, approx. 3 km.

The wellness area is really good. Very clean and peaceful and larger than expected. The view is unbelievably beautiful. Walking routes start in front of the hotel. Perfect. We felt very welcome. Very friendly and helpful staff. The massage deserves a special mention. The best I have ever had.
