With Territory Wildlife Park reachable in 5 km, AAOK Lakes Resort and Caravan Park offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and a bar. The room was great, with hot showers available and a decent space at the table/ sink. The location made it a peaceful quiet spot, and the seats placed outside the room was my favourite. The staff were welcoming and kept the place clean. It is near delicious eateries like Johnny's Dine In Takeaway & Berry Springs Tavern. Bonus, the Berry Springs Waterhole is just a short 5mins drive away. We borrowed some pool noodles from the office when we were going to the waterhole.
Noonamah Tourist Park has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden in Noonamah. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The room was amazing. The matress is so firm and good for my back. Receptionist was so friendly.
This place is the last place before you enter to Litchfield National Park. Pleasant place to stay if you wish to stop before you go the the park. Litchfield Outback Resort has great kitchen, pub, shop, liquor store. Pleasant environment just to relax, listen to the birds at late afternoon. The beer is so cold, strongly recommend
30 - 60 minute drive to most of the sightseeing you want to do in Litchfield National Park. Batchelor is very small and doesn't have many eating options but there was a great hotel, Litchfield Bistro that had great food. We didn't really see anything in Batchelor it was more a place to stay close to Litchfield National Park.
We were in Batchelor to go to Litchfield NP, which we enjoyed immensely. The Butterfly farm was good, and the people, atmosphere and food at The Banyan Cafe a million times better than where we stayed at Pandanus on Litchfield/Litchfield Sunset.
Batchelor came as quite a nice surprise. It is of course a perfect base for exploring Litchfield, but turns out it is also a lovely village with interesting things to see in its own right. Take time for a good look at the Havlik Castle, and don’t miss the Butterfly Farm!
Love the waterfalls and Buley Rockholes. Walk to the Cascades was a bit slippery and difficult. Can recommend the Greenant Creek walk early, before it gets too hot. Lots of people around but all areas have been set up well to handle the volume. Rum Jungle Tavern puts on a good feed and the Litchfield Motel is being renovated, so more choices will soon be available.
A nice little basic drive-through or 'stay a night' NT country town. We stayed at The Banyan Tree and enjoyed great country town hospitality. The Owner being a great guy and his staff very friendly. They are also Licensed. We found the local bakery (well hidden next to the general Store, and not really signed) which served good breakfast food (hot) which was hard to find. the Banyan Tree did offer a hot breakfast, but we were up and gone by 8am when they opened. Everywhere else only offered Continental Breakfasts. There are 2 Petrol Stations and it is the last stop before heading off into Litchfield National Park. These are truly natural Australian country folk - straight taking and friendly.
