Every d*mn thing! Chris and his wife are amazing hosts! They greet you like a friend and they show you all the animals they have. They have a croc named Zeus which he shows you and lets you feed the 18 rabbit they have as well! Great place to stay if you have kids.

What an amazing place! Lee and Lorna are really great hosts and will help you with anything you need. The cabins they built are great and the air con will keep you cool or you could just take a dip in the pool. The bbq area is great if you want to cook This is a great location for exploring the local area. However, the setting of Litchfield Tropical Stay will tempt you to just grab a chair and enjoy the warm breeze and and the singing birds.

Nina is a great host and a knowledgeable conservationist. She took amazing care of us and shared with us how she saves Australia’s wildlife, one animal at a time. While the stay is on a pricey side, we were glad to support Nina’s Ark. It’s the unique experience- worth every penny. Nina might be living “in the middle of nowhere “ but she provides her visitors all the comforts of a glamping experience: the hot shower is a true luxury in the dusty bush!

Absolutely fabulous, regularly stay here. Highly recommend. Great value for money and the staff are just lovely. Close to waterfalls and entry to litchfield Park. Nice and quite at night, was a very relaxing and comfortable stay, that offered privacy. Will be back again. Thankyou.

Everything was perfect! It's hard to put into words. Alice and Steven go above and beyond for their guests. The house is stunning, the interior design beautiful, the view from the bed/terrace is breathtaking. The breakfast was marvellous and our stay by far the best we ever had. Thank you so much Alice and Steven for hosting us! We cannot recommend this place enough. If we would ever come back to the NT, we would definitely want to come back. All the little recommendations received have really helped to make our Trip even more special.

I was most impressed with Batchelor, because it seemed that all the lodges, pubs and restaurants in and around Batchelor remained open in spite of all the flooding and challenging travel conditions in the area! Everyone I encountered working in Batchelor demonstrated a positive, friendly, helpful and understanding towards me and my friends!

We had a group of seven people, all singles so we needed 7...

We had a group of seven people, all singles so we needed 7 beds. All but one of the group had just finished a week camping and were about to go out for another week. They needed plenty of space to re-organise their gear. The two villas we booked were perfect for this. I have stayed at this property a number of times and always enjoy the bird feeding. For those who are interested, it adds something special that no other accommodation in the area can provide.

Didn't visit Batchelor itself but Litchfield Tourist Park...

Didn't visit Batchelor itself but Litchfield Tourist Park was well situated for visiting all the amazing natural sites. One road only through park unless you have 4wd vehicle. Some of the pools aren't open all year round due to Croc danger but one's that are open are fantastic for a refreshing dip.

The Butterfly Farm and Pet Farm was quite fun in Batchelor.

The Butterfly Farm and Pet Farm was quite fun in Batchelor. A funky place where you can feed cute little bunnies carrots or feed small goats and turkeys. Some other animals on display. Fun for kids. We are adults and had a great time. Their mango apple crumble was worth the stop. Delicious!! There is one bottle shop that is also a small grocery store with a few baked items. It’s new and shiney. Lil Ripper is the restaurant associated with it. Food was okay but nothing to rave about when we ate there. Their barramundi was below average. But it’s a large space that has cold beer and is nice and cool after driving a bit. The small local grocery and general store when we visited was thin but had most of the basics. Batchelor itself in town was green and shady and looked nice….good place for a stop, especially at the Pet Farm which also serves what looked like tasty Asian meals like Nasi Goreng.

Batchelor is an easy drive from Darwin and an easy drive to...

Batchelor is an easy drive from Darwin and an easy drive to Adelaide River & Robins falls in one direction and Buleys rockpools & Florence falls in the other. A little further away is Tolmer falls, Wangi falls and the return loop of Litchfield to Berry Springs. We stayed 2 nights in Batchelor. We headed into Litchfield NP and back to Batchelor twice on the same 50km stretch of road over our 2 days. Be aware of where in the loop of places to see Batchelor is. A few good places to eat, and a general store where you can get most supplies you will need. The Banyan Tree resort was a highlight for our nice meal there.

Batchelor Tourist park was the perfect location to explore all that Litchfield NP has to offer. The cabin was peaceful, spacious, clean and morning sits on the balcony listening to the birdsong is somethng I will treasure
