Staff where all kind, prompt , helpful and friendly for check in and any questions we had.
My husband and I would like to personally mention one of the the hotel staff members a beautiful young lady named Monica for her absolute beautiful personality and exceptional customer service as she is an absolute credit to the hotel and would like to mention for hotel management to see and to acknowledge Monica's amazing customer service and kindness was phenomenal to say the least :) & Just note how lucky the hotel is to have such a amazing staff member whom deserves much credit for her kindness and all round beautiful kind personality and overall amazing professional customer service 10/10 for hotel cessnock staff and accommodation amenities and facilities. 💯 Recommend

AustraliaWe really enjoyed all the facilities this home provided. Everything you need is available, including extra towels, etc. My family found this extremely comfortable. Location of the home is great with shops and other entertainment nearby. Home is also very clean and has very comfortable beds. Swimming pool is clean and we enjoyed it very much.

Cessnock is a great location if you are planning to do wine tastings or any other leisure activities. We also enjoy that even though is a small town there is plenty of shops and restaurants.
Every time we go to Hunter valley, we stay in Cessnock.

Like the hot air balloon experience with Balloon Aloft and the Taste of the Hunter tour with Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours and visiting Hunter Valley Wildlife Park. Only negative was a lot of places were closed New Years Eve and New Years day.

A visit to the Lisa McGuigan cellar door is a must. LOTS of fun dress ups, FABULOUS decor and of course GREAT wines.
Harrigans pub is also a must. Good food and live music at lunchtime.

Cessnock was a stepping stone to visit the Correction Centre;
access by Public transport was good / satisfactory ... Bus 164 from/to Maitland station... would welcome 2 per hour! I soon learnt NOT to try booking a Cab (4990 1111) at night - very busy and no response; early morning was v good and quick; had a good, obliging Cab driver to and from the CC. Town seems to have plenty of Cafes.

My wife grew up in Cessnock so it was a trip down memory lane which was pleasant from her point of view.There are some beautiful historic buildings which adds to Cessnock's character,close to the vineyards and has all the basic facilities of a thriving country town.The only issue is the approach to Cessnock coming from Kurri can be quite congested with traffic and Vincent St is too narrow and congested for parking,unlike Wingham which is near to where we live with wide rds and central rd parking.I realize that its too late to overcome this issue particularly as I believe vincent st was always narrow compared to other CBD roads.We nearly didnt stop for a coffee until we managed to find a park up a side street,still its far better than Maitland which is a rabbit warren and a headache for any town planner.

We are not big wine drinkers, so enjoyed some of the other features of the area including the Cider House, chocolate and cheese factories, a drive up through Lovedale to Greta and Branxton then back down the hermitage way for some nice views and up to a couple of lookouts, some good meals.
We spent nearly a full day in the Hunter Valley Gardens that were still amazing despite the start of winter and will be visiting them again when we return to the area for a bit more exploring

Beautiful house on the edge of wine country. Rooms were large and the house was packed with facilities.
Lovely large kitchen with everything you needed for a stay with the family.
Grounds were beautiful and pool amazing .
This was a perfect house and location for our weekend getaway away with the family to Hunter Valley.

Excellent location for exploring the many treasures in the Hunter Valley. Although on a busy road we were used to the noise. The cottage had everything we needed (except a laundry basket). The cottage has a well appointed kitchen, comfy beds and good climate control.

Very cosy & atmospheric hotel. Good parking. Pity Cessnock is so dull, but at least you're in the Hunter Valley. We particularly liked the well-stocked kitchen where you made your own breakfast. Huge bathroom.
