AustraliaLoved our stay! Chalet was modern, warm & quiet with well equipped kitchen. New fire place was great, excellent location, highly recommend!
Best things were how nicely decorated it was and it was clear that the host wanted it to feel cosy. Also so close to the Onsen which is the best reason to stay in Dinner Plain. I never get sore muscles when I go to the Onsen after skiing. Easy walk to the bus stop.

Loved the cute village feel of Dinner Plain, the cute houses...
Loved the cute village feel of Dinner Plain, the cute houses are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the walks particularly the walk to the waterfall, and enjoyed our visit to the onset. The Wyndham had the best coffee and panini for breakfast

Dinner Plain is a beautiful, very small town, however,...
Dinner Plain is a beautiful, very small town, however, outside of ski season NOTHING is open, so be aware of this and factor that into your holiday as the nearest town is Omeo, which is a very windy 45 minutes away. Mt Hotham only a 12 minute drive away does have one pub/restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but that's the only option near Dinner Plain. It was disappointing that the accommodation portal did not advise of this fact anywhere as Google suggets all businesses are still open in Dinner Plain, even outside of the ski season, but this is incorrect. I would not return to Dinner Plain at this time of the year again as the accommodation is overpriced for the lack of conveniences at this time of year (early October). To be clear, this was one week POST official ski season (no snow for skiing or even tobogganning.

We used a door code which was sent on the day of check in.
We used a door code which was sent on the day of check in. Clear and easy instructions. Location of the house is perfect, just a few minutes away from the resort. My 19-month old daughter enjoyed the snow in the backyard very much. Good restaurants around the area too. The village is beautiful especially in the snow. Highly recommend!

Dinner Plain is my favourite place in Australia.
Dinner Plain is my favourite place in Australia. We make the annual drive down from Sydney to give our dogs snow holidays. It’s such a lovely alpine village with nice restaurants, bars and beautiful chalets to stay. The village has no entry fees, plenty of parking, lots of activities for kids and those that love nature like xc skiing and snow shoeing. Dogs are very welcome here and I will continue to choose to holiday here for my dogs. The village staff are also so accommodating and lovely. For more advanced ski runs DP is a short drive from Hotham.

We had an incredible one-night stay at Bogong Chalet — the property was immaculately clean, beautifully organised, and offered the perfect blend of coziness and alpine charm. From the warm, inviting interiors to the peaceful snow-covered surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations. It felt like a luxury retreat tucked away in nature, and we left feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, tranquillity, and a magical mountain escape!

Small town vibe, restaurants get booked out highly recommend booking in advance. Nice and quiet. Supermarket pricey but not unexpected. Best to bring food for cooking yourself. Cold and picturesque, great place for families. Easy access to Hotham if that’s what you are after.

The location is great for us not far from the chair lift, the unique designed hotel feel cozy and warm ^^, location is surround with restaurant, bar, convenience store, cafe. But you definitely get a great coffee and 5 stars dinner served at the hotel restaurant (our familiies loved the foods) with many selection of wines. Very secure hotel. Inside room is nice i mean perfect decor, comfy bed & super clean toilet i loved the premium amenities the hotel provide very good smell. They got everything you just pack your clothes and gear!

The location is perfect, even off season, as the only few places that are actually open are only 50m away. Super convenient. Also loved the additional trundle bed under the single bed, a family of four would easily fit in the one main bedroom - very spacious and comfortable. Good value for money in Dinner Plain which can be very pricey.

Hotel could do with a bit of a renovation but otherwise a clean and comfortable stay with a good room size. Good food, most staff friendly and certainly efficient. Main bar/dining area had a great rustic atmosphere. Extra dining area could do with a bit more to make it warm and welcoming.

Nice clean accommodation in Dinner Plain.Enough parking space for a group of friends and it is nice place for families with kids. Close to the main entrance. Would like to recommend to everyone.
