Stringer's Cottage offers accommodations in Walhalla. The property features views of the mountains and is 17 mi from Traralgon. Free private parking is available on site. We loved our stay. The view was gorgeous, cosy little cottage with a comfortable bed and the fireplace was amazing for the cold nights. We especially loved hearing the rain on the tin roof all night. PS if you’re with Telstra you’ll have reception no worries, due to the new tower in the town.
Perched above Stringer’s Creek and surrounded by lush trees, Walhalla Coach House provides a tranquil escape. Loved the location and the retro decor and artefacts. It was walking distance to the Station but still away from the town centre and amidst nature...the sound of a gurgling stream flowing by....a beautiful view from every window... The cottage had so many games and books that the kids didn't want to go sightseeing. Fully equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ as well. Highly recommended for families with grown up kids.

Peaceful & quiet.
Located in Walhalla in the Victoria region, Jacomb's Cottage features a terrace and garden views. The cottage is delightful, nestled in a lovely garden. Just across the road from the mine tour and being a little away from the centre of Walhalla gives a welcome sense of privacy. Wish I could live here all the time!
Beautiful tiny town with (almost) all you need. We only used the ski hire shop in town who were brilliant. Didn’t get to the general store, cafe or pub as it was Father’s Day and they were all booked out (Gen Store closed and probably at one of the other two). They are the only other places in town!! That’s how cool it is. Stayed at nearby Silvertop Cottages- would def recommend. So close to Mt Baw Baw and St Gwinear.
A little country town full of history and a short drive to the historic gold town of Walhalla. Cafe 1914’s coffee and scones were outstanding. The local pub had a ‘hot rock’ menu where the food cooked on your plate as you ate. Great spot to stay if you are into cross-country skiing. Thompson Dam up a little ways and abundance of walking and biking trails. A ride on the Walhalla tourist train a must. What a weekend. Could stay a week.
