We stayed for 5 nights as two mature couples catching up...

We stayed for 5 nights as two mature couples catching up with each other in July. Weather was far from perfect bit a great location to both relax and explore further afield. We enjoyed our stay and in view of weather, travelled a bit to visit Ballina, Yamba and a country pub inland as suggested by our hosts.

Evans Head is in a scenic location on the NSW North Coast.

Evans Head is in a scenic location on the NSW North Coast. Unfortunately the weather was a bit wild when we were there, and the beach was unpatrolled at the time so we weren't able to have a swim. We were somewhat disappointed with the dining options available in Evans Head. We tried both the Bowling Club and the RSL - whilst the staff were welcoming at the RSL which enjoys a nice location overlooking the river, both Clubs lacked ambience; the menus were uninspiring and the meals lacklustre.

Evans Head is a lovely coastal town with beautiful beaches &...

Evans Head is a lovely coastal town with beautiful beaches & river. It’s on the edge of beautiful national park, which is great for a bushwalk. Great little shops & great food at the surf club & pub. Also some lovely shops to explore. The IGA is a great local supermarket. We also love the butcher in the main.

Evans Head is a lovely small town with beautiful beaches and a river alongside. JK Thai for dinner was delicious. The chap in Bottlemart liquor store was super friendly and helpful, with a cool hairdo. :)

Evans Head is a great place to stay , or in my case on this...

Evans Head is a great place to stay , or in my case on this trip a great break/overnight say heading up north . Everything was in walking distance ,it 's got everything in town that you could ask for . Had dinner at the R S L this time around and the food was fantastic !

We had to swap cabins as the one advertised as deluxe was...

We had to swap cabins as the one advertised as deluxe was very old and in a very inconvenient spot looking at the road and sloping parking spot, only had cabin for 3 days instead of 6 as planned and paid for, girl at reception did her best, very helpful., good food at the RSL.
