Located in Falls Creek, Attunga Alpine Lodge & Apartments features ski-to-door access and is just 394 feet from the Halley's chairlift. The owner made us feel absolutely at home and made every guests feel important, including us. He even personally come by to the property to attend to our complaint in the middle of the night at 3am when he really didn’t need to. All just to make sure our stay was not interrupted by anything imperfect. We really appreciate how he value our comfort, And he also offered help to show us the best way to get to the ski slopes from the property. Rooms are clean, good value. Very close proximity from the ski lifts at slalom plaza (if you go through the short cut from behind the property, it only takes 5 mins walk) or from the front of property, just ski down from the entrance (when the roads are snow covered).

The skiing at Falls Creek is wonderful and the people on the mountain are very friendly. We love this resort for its wide runs and great vibe. Sadly we went into lock-down after only one day of skiing so the lifts closed so we ended up on touring skis a new concept for us. Putting skins on your skis and releasing the binding to walk up the mountain then removing the skins and changing the binding to ski down. We saw the mountain a different way this time and the aqueduct walk was amazing. We love staying at Falls Creek Hotel the friendly vibe, log fire and superb food is terrific. Having a ski in/out and ski hire/shop below really helps.
We were in Falls Creek for the first time for a hike to Hotham Heights. It's a very attractive ski town, and all the locals were noticeably friendly. It was difficult to find a cafe in the off-season, and we were glad to have booked a restaurant for our dinners. The IGA store was well stocked. Hiking from Falls Creek was excellent, and we'd love to come back for skiing, but it's too difficult for us to get to in Winter when the high road is closed.
Great skiing for beginners. Lots of dining options to suit all tastes. Friendly staff teaching lessons and on the lifts. I would recommend not booking accommodation ahead of time for late in the season / Spring. There are lots of last minute accommodation options at that time. We had some people pull out and was left out of pocket because we couldn't cancel.
Very disappointed that my husbands lift pass couldn’t be refunded following a knee injury where the medical centre advised rest and zimmer splint and provided a medical certificate. No info was given or could be found re this policy and the staff couldn’t care less. Very unfair and profit driven as they did offer a 12 month credit but we may not return next year. I find this ‘goodwill’ offer poor practice, so of course we did what they wanted and spent the credit in their shops before leaving the mountain. 🤑 Most fast food on the mountain is unhealthy, chips, burgers, donuts, waffles, pizza etc with only few healthy options. Restaurants are better but pricier. Shuttle buses and drivers and all other mountain staff excellent
Great mountain for family ski trip. Friendly resort atmosphere, fantastic range of ski runs, easy access to quality food and drink on piste and in village. Kids loved SomePlace Else Bar and Grill for gourmet burgers.
I love the ski in ski out ability at Falls Creek. Great accommodation, great snow making, an amazing holiday. I first found Falls 25 years ago and it has since been the only resort I ski at in Australia. I love Falls.

The Astra Hotel is superb. It exceeded all of our expectations, and the staff were fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable. The rooms were well appointed, facilities were above expectations and the location was unbeatable. We have already booked for next year. The Cellar Wine list was amazing, thanks to the owners who allowed us to partake in all of those aged Italian wines. And to Mark - English Sommelier who was so awesome in his knowledge and recommendations. Astra please keep him there as we will return next year!
Falls Creek
Staff was good and helpful. Location and view from the apartment is good next to the gully chair, but it still is a bit of climb down the stairs to reach the gully chair with ski boots on. And haily's comet is quite a bit of walk. Good thing is that you dont need to use the ATS to reach this hotel in winter as it is on the main street. Limited cutlery, crockery and utensils in the apartment but you can get by.

Staying at Feathertop was a fantastic experience. Dani was warm and welcoming and helped us feel very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect for Mountain biking. The host was amazing with my every request. The apartment is clean, amazing beds and linen. The little things that count like washing up liquid, clothes liquid, coffee and tea. One of the best places I have stayed at.
Falls Creek
The apartments are well located being right in the bowl near the slopes and with ski in ski out access. The views down the gully to the ranges are excellent, and there's a great balcony.

Bed, warmth of room, staff sense of humour were outstanding. Room lighting was nostalgic, a bonus for an experienced traveller. Hotel theme reminded me of similar lodges in central Europa.
The food was very tasty and the extra touch that the hotel provides like early dinner to kids and baby sitting while parents eat goes extra mile.

Layout of the place was fantastic for a big group of 12 - communal areas upstairs and sleeping areas therefore nice and quiet. Spacious, incredibly views, different areas to relax and socialise in. The spa room was also a highlight with its lovely snow views. Communication from Kate and Anna was really great. Whole place was spotless and super easy check in with people arriving at all hours. Individually controlled heaters and gas fire were also really welcome. Kitchen was really well stocked with everything you could need. We loved it and will come again!
