Inspired by the natural coastal surroundings, the boutique Flinders Hotel offers luxurious and relaxing accommodations on the Mornington Peninsula, 1.5 hours drive from Cowes and a 75-minute drive... Hotel is exceptional with breakfast included. Food at George Bass and The Deck was really delicious .Friendly and helpful staff. Room and facilities were clean, modern and very comfortable. Situated near a quiet coastal location with fresh and clean air. Near to shops and eateries.
Flinders Cove Motel is located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, 10 minutes' walk from Flinders Pier. It offers rooms with a flat-screen TV. Absolutely spotless. We were upgraded to two rooms for no extra cost. Fantastic location. We loved it!
Iluka Retreat Glamping Village is located in Red Hill South and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. The property is 31 miles from Dandenong and free private parking is featured. Very relaxing stay. The tents were adorable and the view was lovely. Having no reception forced us to relax and enjoy. The obstacle course was an unexpected highlight
Featuring a garden and a terrace, The Caretakers Cottage has accommodations in Main Ridge with free WiFi and mountain views. The air-conditioned property is 20 miles from Frankston. A quiet green location, and light filled cottage made for a lovely relaxing family weekend. Kids loved the sheep and the kookaburra, king parrot and magpies who came to say hello.
A working alpaca stud located on 10 acres, Summerhill Farm is just 75 minutes’ drive from Melbourne in the hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula. Continental breakfast is provided. Beverley and Fleur had enough breakfast for 6 people - fresh farm eggs, fruit, bacon, cereals, condiments, loaf of sourdough, large botyle of orange juice and milk. Loved the quietness, the peaceful country garden, snd my dog loved it too.
The quietness, the beauty of the place and the surrounding area. Loved the rural feel of the town. We ate at the hotel where the food was really good, but also at a winery close by and an Osteria I had read of.
Flinders used to be a thriving busy little village but with Covid and staff shortages it was so disappointing to have most of the shops vacant or only open Friday and Saturday. Lovely to visit surrounding areas of Red Hill and Balnarring, but better to stay on the coast at Rosebud for example and day trip to Flinders. Flinders Hotel looked a better option to stay and eat, but takeaway cafe provided meals. It is easy to get around the peninsula and not far away.
Quiet picturesque village with some cute shops. The Chocolaterie and Ice-cream place is definitely worth a visit. Hot chocolate was the best I have tasted in a while. Lovely helpful and engaging staff. Chocolate gifts were pricey but that is to be expected in small townships who rely heavily on tourism. Overall a positive experience. Would definitely return.
Hotel is fairly new and rooms were large, good beds, access to outdoors from room with chairs. Some at ground level others had balconies. There were stairs but not sure about lifts as we didn't need them. Great location in Flinders and the Mornington Peninsula.
Such a pretty place and plenty of cafes, restaurants, general store with amazing produce and shops. There’s also Flinders Golf course and plenty of places to walk. Locals are friendly as well. Perfect getaway.
It was a perfect mini break to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the landscape in Flinders and how relatively quiet it was. Not as crowded as other tourist attractions and we could quietly go for a nice walk around to appreciate the views of Flinders.
Location was convenient for day trips to the wineries. Inexpensive hotel which represents value for money compared to the overpriced Flinders Hotel in the same street. The hotel is tired but has a nice sitting area outside, is clean and the owners friendly.
Clean hotel room and location was excellent.
