The receptionist and staff on duty are very warm, friendly and helpful. Since we had a long time to spend in Devonport before embarking on our ferry to Geelong, the receptionist advised us to drive to La Trobe. It's a most charming small town with the best gift shop in the world, named the Reliquery. You must not miss this lil town and gift shop. Besides, the hotel's location is so near to the Spirit of Tasmania pier. We had no problems taking our car into the ferry to Geelong. Thank you so much Gateway staff and management

The hostess, Yvonne, is a sweetheart and is a great hostess. Her little touches in the house, made it feel very welcoming like she baked us a warm homemade bread and gave us a lovely breakfast starter kit including fresh poultry eggs and fresh milk. I would highly recommend staying at Silwood apartment, if you are a couple or a small family of 3, I would highly recommend it !
