It serves its purpose as an overnight stay in basic but very clean accommodation. Some things didn’t work window shutter jammed so unable to open windows for fresh air. However as an overnight quiet stop it is okay. Would stay again but only for a short stay, no cooking facilities except microwave

Most part of the Pibara region is boring as fk.
Most part of the Pibara region is boring as fk. Only travel there for work up on the mines and gas plant. Family touring? No, don`t do it. Kimberley has some great views and parks for exporing, otherwise, go down South.
Oh, right, Never go any Asian resturants in Karratha, not authentic and total rip off. Western style Bar &Grill in Karratha are generally good.

Karratha is a hidden gem.
Karratha is a hidden gem. It is a clean, accessible city spread out to accommodate the easy transition of traffic coming in and out of it. Entering the city from the main highway gives you wonderful glimpses of the ocean through the palm-lined fringes of the city outskirts. We were fortunate to eat organic fresh fruits which was unexpected and such a nice surprise! If you've had the privilege of eating farm grown produce that still maintains taste and texture, you'll know what I mean. Karratha is not to be missed. A refreshing visit for us, we'll gladly return here.

We enjoyed Karratha and especially an unaccompanied tour of the rock art. This was along a board walk but was very well done. You do have to get the light right to see some of it. The afternoon is recommended but we were amazed at what we saw mid morning.
What we didn't enjoy was a breakfast at the Empire cafe. n I had the chose what you want dish and paid $5 dollars to have grilled tomato included. When my plate came, it had an eighth of a tomato on it. I complained and had a plate with another half tomato on it banged down on the table.

Veeery friendly stuff. As a single european female traveller I did not know much about the mining sector workforce that comes and goes to Karratha. The stuff - locals - and working holidays - foreigners made me feel comfortable. The food was nice - and the atmosphere very special. Located between Dampier and " the city" the Village is the perfect place to experience this stretch of WA Coastline.
We stayed overnight and the hotel had everything we needed- washing machine, a pool and a restaurant onsite. We were able to park right outside our room.It was very comfortable and convenient.
We liked everything about this property, it was out of Karratha and so very quiet 🤫.
The staff were so welcoming and cheerful that our stay was guaranteed to be wonderful. Thank you 🙏
