Thanks James for a wonder stay! We loved the unique experience of staying in a historic building and learning about its past. The room and the common areas were very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cutlery, great for cooking a quick meal or just making a cuppa. The family had a lot of fun playing games in the meals area :) And thank you so much for the dress up photo shoot before we were 'set free' :) It was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone (including families) wanting a different experience, not to mention the very reasonable price!

I know the place. Good place to rest for a few days.
I know the place. Good place to rest for a few days. Close to other locations such as Robe, Port Campbell, Coonawarra wine region and Narracorte Caves area, without the big price tag. The volcanic lakes and the city sinkhole gardens are a must see.

An interesting place to stay, with some great local walks and points of interest including the Blue Lake and Umpherston sinkhole. There's a good Coles supermarket and some nice restaurant options including Caffe Belgiorno which has a nice range of Italian fare at a reasonable price.

It’s our second time coming to Mount Gambier for the brick Gambier event. The kids absolutely love the place so many cool things to see lots of eating places and just short drives away to other cool heritage sites.

I love Mt Gambier. I could move there.
I love Mt Gambier. I could move there. Actually I might as I wouldn't have to live under the Marxist regime that is the Victorian Government.
It has everything going for it, magnificent tourist attractions (The Blue Lake, Caves, The Sink Holes, close to forest and beaches), plenty of retail, good restaurants and pubs, and a nice chilled laid back atmosphere. What's not to like.

We stayed overnight on our way from Coonawarra to the Great...
We stayed overnight on our way from Coonawarra to the Great Ocean Road. Mount Gambier was a large and modern town that had everything. We really enjoyed the usual touristy things and walking around the town main sheets.

Fantastic location, right in the city centre near lots of shops and restaurants. There was also parking spots available for hotel guests. Great value for money!
The room was also very nicely decorated and looked recently renovated. Bathroom and room was very spacious
Room was fully stocked, bed was extremely comfortable. Perfect pillows. The accommodation is beautifully presented. Friendly attentive staff at the restaurant. Dinner was very good. If I'm in Mount Gambier in future, The Barn will be top of my list for accommodation.
Host was extremely responsive and helpful in every way possible. Highly recommend this property for small group of 3-5 pax travelling to Mount Gambier.
