The managers and staff who were on this weekend were amazing, location was ideal for family. Recieved an upgrade. Outside of the upgrade, I did raise something i thought was a minor mishap, they were very responsive and went over and beyond to ensure I was happy with how they handled it. Would have no issues going back or recommending the place.

Night time on the weekend are rather rough, so please be cautious if you go out. Otherwise during the daytime there is plenty to do. Beautiful nature walks, parks for children and a great variety of shops.

I went to Shepparton to attend a course related to my job. Shep has changed from a medium sized to a large country town with a vibrant multicultural community, which seems to have a large number of young families. The area around the lake is beautiful, and it's lovely to hear a range of languages being spoken, which I miss in my relatively monocultural (and, frankly, racist) smaller country town one and a half hours' drive away. I'm not sure I'd exactly holiday in Shep - it's a bit close to home and has that sort of contempt for familiarity feel about it for me, but I think it could be a good place to live, it is small enough to be a community where you know a lot of people, but not everyone, and it has the basic resources that I have to travel out of town for at home: a range of medical providers, a large aquatic centre, KMart, asian food store, big op shops, that sort of thing. It would also be a good place to stop over if one needed a stopover on a longer trip. I didn't want to eat out so bought a bowl of noodles from Noodle Canteen - I could only eat about half of it! Excellent value.

I chose to come to Shepparton to see the Art Gallery, which was great. Didn't get to see all of the street art but did see most of the silo art, which was out-of-town. Throughly enjoyed visiting the Botanical Gardens, walking the many trails there as well as walking around the lake and gardens at the back of the Art Gallery. Everything was very clean--no litter in the gardens and around the lake. As a woman travelling solo I felt very comfortable visiting Shepparton. I had lots of choice in the local grocery stores and enjoying cooking some of my favorite meals. Did not eat out.

Great location for a short casual stay.

Great location for a short casual stay. Plenty of dining and breakfast options. We dined in at the Carrington Hotel the first night and the RSL for the 2nd night. Both excellent. Breakfast at the Lemon Tree Cafe and 2nd morning the Friars Cafe. Both excellent cafe's, and very highly recommended.

Shepparton was my home town 40+ years ago, the Shepp lake was and is the main feature of the town, there is no shortage of shops, the Peppermill is the place to go for a great meal and great time, a lot of functions are held there, for kids there are many play centres, swimming pool, bike tracks, caravan parks, lots of colourful cows are spread around Shepparton, see how many you can find

The central lake, good food at the Shepparton Brewery and coffee shops in Fryers St. Art Gallery and the MOVE Museum. Locals seemed relaxed and were friendly. We only stayed one night but would definitely like to come back again for slightly longer.

In general, the property was fine. The apartments are well laid out, impeccably clean, and the furniture and beds were comfortable. The location was close to the centre of Shepparton, and we enjoyed the stay. There was hot water when we arrived, but we wasted a great deal of water waiting for it to warm up this morning. It never did warm up, so showering/washing was not at all convenient. Except for the issue with the lack of hot water,
