fabulous location - lovely friendly staff - good parking but NO pool even the pictures on website show a lovely heated pool on site. No mini bar - no bar staff on Sunday evening - no facilities to buy beer or wine after 8:30 pm when the whole village shuts down - we stayed the end of February - so out of season - but was disappointed not able to drink in the hotel after 8:30pm
It’s a ski resort and very much geared to winter sports but there’s so much other stuff to do in summer. It’s small but very cozy and the people are lovely. The walking trails were challenging but so rewarding. I ate from the Bakery a few times and the food was excellent.
Great place to Visit. Went in summer and did the walk to the highest mountain in australia- Mt Kosciuszko. Can also do mountain biking, which i will try next year. 2-3 days is apt time , in my opinion.
The weather wasn't good, wet and grey and cold on Mt Kosciuzko, even though it was late January, but it was still an adventure, very worthwhile, and a good work out. A sunny day would have been better especially for photography, it is just luck. Always take waterproof gloves with you.
Thredbo is a great summer vacation place if you like walking and chilling out. It is good to see it being marketed to attract more people, though the prevalence of mountain bikers does detract a little from some the peace we've enjoyed in the past. However, it's good for Thredbo businesses. It would be good to see more restaurants open more times in the peak summer times, including Mondays.
It has a small town centre where most of the restaurants are. They are within walking distances. However, they are expensive even in summer! Accessibility is not a problem with delivery of services hence things should not be that expensive, especially in summer. In future, we will look for a hotel with free car parking.
Our apartment had a beautiful mountain view and a balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy. We were a couple minutes walk (via a series of steps) from shops, restaurants, and the Kosciuszko chairlift. The staff at Kasees were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, we liked having the small kitchen for breakfasts in.
Thredbo
Amazing accomodation right in the centre of the village square. Coffee Shop/bakery/supermarket downstairs. Pub a 2 minute stumble away. Comfy beds, spacious apartment with all the mod cons. Plenty to keep angsty teenagers amused. Would definately stay again. Do yourself a favour and have a steak at Zac's Grill downstairs

Location was great - loved the fact that it was a two bedroom, two bathroom unit, so no waiting for a shower, and plenty of space for 4 people. Fully equipped kitchen was great, so self catering was made easy. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we will be back.
