Breakfast was excellent. Dinning room was very nice. I liked the old European style.
Located in the heart of Thredbo village, Thredbo Alpine Hotel is just 2 minutes' walk from the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift. This charming historic property offers on-site restaurants, bars and sauna....
Offering a convenient position within Thredbo Village, House of Ullr is just a 5-minute walk from the Valley Terminal and is nearby the mountain's multiple chairlifts.

This is the second year we have stayed in this hotel and my son loves the quaint chalet style accommodations. The owner is always lovely and helpful. We loved our loft style room this year and the gorgeous mountain views. Very clean and cosy rooms. The location is central and easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Great Value for money, especially at the time of year we selected. I rarely take time to write a review so that is my best compliment.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Thredbo this weekend is $210 or, for a 4-star hotel, $389. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Thredbo for this weekend cost around $679 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Been here for mountain bikeing before. The trails are long and fast. Love the chairlifts. You can even indulge in XC riding along the river. Second time we went for hiking. Did the river trail ahd the summit trail. Despite near-freezing conditions and 50+ kph gusts at the top, the hike was fun with plenty of snow to see and walk on at the beginning of summer. The lake area is nice to relax at.

Thredbo for the opening weekend of the ski season is a an exicitng, social and scenic mountain get away. Although no skiable snow, which will fall later in June. Enjoy the Ice sculpture and artist at work on a mural for auction, open air DJ. Easy to walk everywhere, shops cafe, ride up the scenic chairlift and gondola. Or have a ride on the Coaster, roller coaster.

Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.
Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.
Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Our unit was simply furnished, decor a little dated (1980s perhaps) but reminded me of my first trips to Thredbo as a teenager so quite nostalgic! Stunning views over the valley to the ski slopes, our unit had a separate bedroom, great little kitchen with all the basics. friendly staff. Great value out of ski season, centrally located just a 5 minute walk down to town centre
The location for Skiing and Snowboarding is excellent. The Bar/Restraunt is pretty good. Super close to Thredbo Hire “Gun barrel” chair lift and “Easy Does it Chair lift”. The staff were super nice and really helpful in giving directions.
Nice family friendly atmosphere for the hotel, rooms clean and simple. Well located for the main skiing hub. Check-in easy. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated recently and was well outfitted with good use of space.
