Best place to stay while in Yarra Valley. The cottage itself soooo cute and comfy. So many kangaroos. Eastern golf course also very amazing. Breathtaking views with fluffy fairway and various birds,kangaroos. Wow!!!Really loved it! Fireplace,welcoming wine,and breakfast package also a plus. Yerring Gorge Cottages is a true gem.

View into the valley is nice but a little different from the advertised pic. Would have been good for a walk except it was cold and wet during our stay. Wood fire was very much appreciated on a cold night but you might need to let the manager know what you /he expects in terms of wood & cleaning. Lovely comfy bed. Compact bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped & living space is roomy. They are in need of a good solid couch or arm chairs. Owners dogs barked a little but not for long.

The good: Staff are brilliant. Very friendly and hospitable. Food at the lodge bistro ie the Po’ boy prawn roll and charred greens were excellent. The breakfast is amazing. Best scrambled eggs! Loved our stay there. Would have loved to have stayed longer. The not so good: The tap in the bathroom is far too close to the edge of the sink. Tables at breakfast need to be wiped down more often after patrons leave in prep for the next patron to use. Not major issues but important.

Lovely spacious clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. We had access to outside. Choices for breakfast were fruit, yogurt, cereal, bacon, eggs, sausage etc. continental breakfast, pastries. All very good. Beautiful location right next to the golf course. Handy for wineries, chocolate factory, Warrandyte , the Dandenong ranges, Eastland shopping centre and other places worth visiting in and around the Yarra Valley. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

What a lovely place! We were warmly welcomed.

What a lovely place! We were warmly welcomed. Our room was nice and big, just as shown in the photos on bookings.com. The rooms are clean, and the beds and sheets are nice and comfy. The rooms are also very quiet. We had a room with a garden view, and we could see kangaroos sunbathing outside our window—such a nice sight to see!

We loved the wildlife roaming free the birds flying in the trees outside our room and their calls and interactions. The Kangaroos were great to see hopping through the golf course and lounging on the ground we also saw an Echidna on our walk.

The hotel is not far from the attractions in the Yarra Valley area. In addition, you can see kangaroos roaming the golf course up close every day, which is an added bonus. The continental breakfast was great, and the service was excellent.

We were very happy with our stay at the property in Wonga Park. The bedrooms were large with a beautiful view of the trees from the Master. Would be brilliant for a winter getaway with the fireplace!

Love the green surrounding and wild kangaroos everywhere, as well all the different birds. Internet was very good. Front desk availability throughout the day which is rare in Melbourne hotels.
