View into the valley is nice but a little different from the advertised pic. Would have been good for a walk except it was cold and wet during our stay. Wood fire was very much appreciated on a cold night but you might need to let the manager know what you /he expects in terms of wood & cleaning. Lovely comfy bed. Compact bathroom. The good: Staff are brilliant. Very friendly and hospitable. Food at the lodge bistro ie the Po’ boy prawn roll and charred greens were excellent. The breakfast is amazing. Best scrambled eggs! Loved our stay there. Would have loved to have stayed longer. The not so good: The tap in the bathroom is far too close to the edge of the sink. Lovely spacious clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. We had access to outside. Choices for breakfast were fruit, yogurt, cereal, bacon, eggs, sausage etc. continental breakfast, pastries. All very good. Beautiful location right next to the golf course. Handy for wineries, chocolate factory, Warrandyte , the Dandenong ranges, Eastland shopping centre and other places worth visiting in and around the Yarra Valley. What a lovely place! We were warmly welcomed. Our room was nice and big, just as shown in the photos on bookings.com. The rooms are clean, and the beds and sheets are nice and comfy.
