The recent refurbishing provided clean comfort, with convenience of amenities, superb food, friendly and helpful staff and service, including self-serve coffee, tea, cold water for stay in guests at one's leisure. This was the most beautiful comfortable cottage. We didn’t need to pack much, everything was there! Beds very comfy. Kitchen adorable to sit in with my kids and have a meal and chat.

It is a very comfortable and spacious rustic house in which we settled in right away. In good proximity to Inverloch and Phillip Island and has close by town centre. It has a functional kitchen that was well stocked and well equipped (even had a wood fire pizza oven). We cooked on 3 of the 4 nights we were there. The hosts also supplied basic foodstuff such as bread and egg which we very much appreciate. The host Kristy was very responsive.

We wanted a stopover en route to Geelong and this was perfect. Great communication for check in we had a Genius upgrade to a superior room and it was very spacious and lovely. Lovely little outside seating but weather wasn't good for using it. Walked to Three Dirty Wines for cellar door tasting and cheese board , excellent. Then relaxed in the room. Great parking, lovely garden with Bbq and seating. Highly recommend

Our team recently stayed at Edwardian Getaway in Wonthaggi during a company work trip, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The property is beautifully maintained, blending historical charm with modern comfort. It offered the perfect mix of space, privacy, and functionality, which made it an ideal setting for both relaxation and team collaboration. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and thoughtful touches throughout. The common areas — particularly the lounge and outdoor spaces — provided a welcoming environment for casual team meetings and downtime. We appreciated the quiet location, yet it was still conveniently close to local shops, cafes, and the coast. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring our group had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. Parking was easy, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable, which made working remotely hassle-free. Loved the location of our motel.

Loved the location of our motel. Wonthaggi has great shopping for a small place. Not so crowded. Beaches so close by. The reserves awesome. The history of Wonthaggi is very interesting and liked visiting the Coal Mine. Will be back next year.

our experience is nothing short but terrible. Rats behind the wall making so much noises in the middle of the night for hours. We bang the walls but that doesn't stopped them from running behind the wall - like it's play time! Swimming pool is absolutely filthy. Sharp rubbish underneath and little dead insects, cut my foot and given my son an ear infection. Toilet absolute filth. heaps cockroaches, found 2 cockroaches in our luggage, absolutely disgusting. Couch is filthy, bedding's has been reused, needed to use towels to put on top of the dirty bedding's with marks etc ... overall disgusting. Tried to reach out to management but they denied everything. Please don't waste your time and money.

It's a very clean, quiet and peaceful town with all the amenities - banks, grocery stores, places to eat / have take-aways. Only 15 minutes drive to Inverloch and half an hour to the South Gippsland wine trail or San Remo / Philip Island so it's a good spot to stay for a short family holiday from Melbourne.
