Everything. The room is like a mini apartment/kitchenette. The bed super comfy with high quality pillows. The TV had access to streaming such as Netflix and YouTube. The location is perfect to walk around the centre of the city.

The staff is really friendly and very helpful, the rooms are good for a family vacation, the food is fresh and very taste, breakfast is really good too, the place is very, very clean, is not in the heart from the city centre but is very close. Everyone in the hotel was very polite, there is everything you need around the place. I would definitely comeback with my family there.

Ilheus is a small city.

Ilheus is a small city. The central district is walkable and very enjoyable. There is an area a few blocks from the hotel with food trucks, ice cream shops and music. There is a wonderful area a couple of blocks north of the hotel for children to play. There is a Brazilian Churrascaria a couple blocks west from the hotel that had a great buffet with salads and grilled meats. It is only open until 3pm. It was very convenient to have small restaurants in the hotel building. Try the chocolate factory and Bom Bom factory. The South beach has many bars and great seafood.

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels...

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels neglected, with many historical buildings falling into disrepair. It’s not particularly touristic—more functional than charming. That said, there are some good bars and restaurants, and the centrally located airport is convenient. The beaches, while decent, don’t compare to the stunning ones in the surrounding region. It’s worth a short stop for its historical significance, but the lack of restoration is disappointing.

Ilheus was always a sleepy town where one stopped on the way...

Ilheus was always a sleepy town where one stopped on the way to somewhere else. Recently, however, it has invested a lot in improving its tourism infrastructure. Besides the beaches, the food and the music are also great.

The hotel staff impressed us, they were so kind and friendly. The room was fairly large with a nice kitchen, comfortable bed and good shower, top quality towels, and a well fitted good sized wardrobe. Facilities were refurbished and well cleaned. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Breakfast was really good and the restaurant had good quality fairly priced food for lunch and dinner. The hotel was just a few steps from the main attractions. The Vesuvius restaurant was opposite to the hotel and the bataclan was a few meters nearby. There are excellent açai and chocolate shops on the ground floor of the hotel.

Spectacular beaches, that run for miles.

Spectacular beaches, that run for miles. The Cathedral on the main square is incredible. Not in great state of repair, but the architecture and interior are breathtaking. Some very food restaurants/ churrascarias - choose the ones off the sea front for best value and best/ healthiest food choices. Some good spicy foods as well. The dawns and sunsets are spectacular. Despite reports of robberies, it feels and appears relatively safe, safer than Salvador for sure.

Historical hotel. Ok it's old but you can breath this vintage atmosphere all around. The old elevator make this place ok even for people with physical handicaps. The old-style room was large and ok, you can join the two separeted bed if you want to. The shower was hot enough. Panoramic view on the river. Helpful staff.

Great hotel / pousada ....on Millionaires Beach/ Praias de Milionários. Very comfortable, clean and good breakfast. Wifi good. Ample parking. This is off season, and the room rate is slightly expensive given that the hotel is virtually empty.

Welcoming hosts, great pool, hotel along a lovely beach, good food but I prefer some salad with breakfast during hotel stays, the selection of fruit and juices were nice in this place anyway and the cakes were delicious too
