Amendoeira Praia Hotel is located on the beachfront in Morro de São Paulo, 1969 feet from First Beach and 1640 feet from Saudade Island. The hotel is located on the third beach within walking distance to the fourth beach which is the nicest beach to sit along during the day and also walking distance to the second which is where the social and beach bars are. You are also within walking distance to the centre of the village so the location is great. The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned and for £60/ night I expected a bit more, for example the room to be cleaned and made every day. however the island is expensive compared to other locations in Brazil. There is a decent breakfast and fresh pastries made every day. The staff are extremely helpful and assisted us in booking the catamaran back to Salvador which was very important and they made it very easy and are available to help 24/7.

While you have the beauty and feeling of a relaxing tropical island, there is enough to do such as island hops, ocean zipline, sunset cruises, walks to and from Gamboa beach, scuba diving etc. You do not get bored. The seafood available on the island is amazing and a huge highlight. But the best thing about the island was the amazing local people. A magical spot.
A lovely place even if crowded at the popular end--1st, 2nd & 3rd beaches but as Anima is on 4th it is quiet and undisturbed. Worth the 2.5 hr water crossing. Morro is on the land side of the island and within a reef so calm and shallow water.
It is an awesome place to go relax and party. For parties you have to pay between $35-$100 Brazilian reals. There is lots of food options and small stores around. It is not “cheap” there like we thought. The only thing we disliked was that to transfer from the airport of Salvador de Bahia to Morro de São Paulo it was about 5 hrs.
Morro de São Paulo is one of my favourite places. This was my second visit - it has a bit of everything you could want from a beach holiday. The beaches are beautiful, there are watersports, boat tours, snorkelling opportunities. From second beach and beyond the sea is lovely, warm and clear... First and second beaches are surrounded by many bars and restaurants and there are plenty of boutique shops nearby. Third and fourth beach are less concentrated for bars and restaurants but it is nice and tranquil here. Third beach is the ideal location to enjoy both tranquility and nightlife with plenty of eateries nearby. Pedra sobre Pedra and Canoa both recommended for good food, views and friendly service at good prices.
Morro is a really beautiful place. If you are looking for a more secluded holiday - stay away from Second beach as its always busy and full of hustle. Move along further to Third or Fourth beach and set yourself up a spot with some shade (bring a beach umbrella if you can)
One of the most beautiful islands to spend the week on. Some of the most incredible views and beaches and crystal clear waters! Recommend going to the quieter beaches on the other side of the island to praia 1, praia 2 etc. They are much more beautiful and tranquil! The boat tour around the island is well worth doing - it goes to beautiful natural pools and more incredible beaches close by. Take some beers and be ready for a fun ride! Definitely walk up to where the lighthouse is for sunset. If you're into partying, there's a couple of clubs on the island that are super fun to go and dance to some Brazilian music! Could've stayed here forever.
Morro de São Paulo
It was a beautiful hotel in gorgeous grounds. The infinity pool was picturesque but the other pool was set in the gardens and I often enjoyed it all by myself. Banana plants around the pool, and I was lucky that they were trimming the palm trees so I got two coconuts for free :)
Morro de São Paulo
We liked the location and the service, specially Gil.
